Do seeds have to cure or age seeds before planting? A friend pollinated a couple plants and made some seeds. Wondering how long I need to wait before I plant them?
Before planting no. Sometimes they just fall off the plant and start growing.
For storage I like to give them 2 weeks.
I recently popped a couple after drying, straight out of the bud and they do fine. Some like to put them in the fridge first but that wasn’t necessary.
Greetings @broncogrow,
I’ve had better germination results after curing fresh seeds for at least two weeks in a low humidity (50%RH) environment.
My reasoning is that seeds falling naturally from a plant will likely lay on the surface for awhile before experiencing the conditions encouraging germination.

You can plant them immediately if you like
Ive asked myself the same thing after wanting to plant fresh seeds due to schedules.
9/9 popped within 24-48hrs.
But upon sesrching it up I found other posts that shared their expierence that their fresh seeds only started popping after a month
