Looks yummy …
save some for me
Maybe it was Cheque day govt cheque’s or Amazon parcel day . Or they just needed a quick ride and it was sitting on the curb running lol
O no that’s awful about the mail truck getting stolen some ppl just sux, hopefully it was just junk mail on there, one can be hopeful right, but seriously that’s a pain in the butt, maybe give your clients a heads up which I’m sure u already did
That toast looks yummy, and those strawberries are making my mouth water
The plants are looking great getting their grow on I see, I could just look at them all day
That really sucks about the mail truck being stolen, hopefully it won’t affect you too badly. I use the “informed delivery” app on USPS to keep track of the mail I am supposed to be getting, since they scan each piece of mail, so that means that they have a record of exactly which pieces of mail were stolen. You should be able to view that information through the USPS Informed Delivery site, though I am not sure if you can view the images online retroactively. I know that they do scan all mail and they have a record of it somewhere, so you should be able to contact someone at the USPS and ask them to tell you what pieces of your mail were on the stolen truck. Finding that special person at the USPS may be the trick, but I am pretty sure that if you do, you should be able to find out exactly what mail of yours went missing.
One of the ladies at my client’s office was telling me about all these recent mail truck thefts and now my neighborhood got hit. According to my neighbor the truck was stolen a block away too. Apparently it’s a thing now. Good Grief!
@monkeyman I got something saying I could do that with my mail, but I think it said it would delay my mail a bit, so I kinda disregarded it. Now I wish I had payed more attention.
I did get lucky as the letter was delivered along with the $175 perfume I ordered. Whew!
The girls are drinking like camels. I’m watering like crazy now! Realizing just how dry Cali is this year too. There is zero ground water down there. Basically zero rain this winter. Feels like the desert. At some point I’m going to need to open the hose and just flood the beds.
The port wine cheese has just hit the 3rd trellis layer. I’m going to start referring to the middle row of plants as the bigs. The SSDD, PWC & Garlic. SSDD & Garlic are a good 4 inches taller than me since just 2 days ago. The Orange Goji is really trying to catch up hitting the 2nd layer now. It is the same size as the blue dream which was planted much earlier. The stretch is always fun to watch.
That’s great you didn’t lose out on your mail that you were expecting. I don’t recall seeing anything regarding the Informed Delivery service causing delays to the end user, but you may be right, though I think they scan the mail by default so opting in to the informed delivery feature just gives you access to their records. It’s pretty amazing that the mail is scanned and read by a neural network bot, that then connects that address to the ones on file who have opted-in to receive the notices. Interesting times we live in.
It sounds like your plants are all doing great, I hope that you get a bunch of rain for them. If I could I would ship you out some of the rain we have here, but I think the postage would be way too high for that.
So Dad was here earlier cuz it’s Sunday. Guess the plants are a foot taller than last week. We were in there looking at the plants and we are standing near the cheese, PWC and Garlic and it reeked. Trying to figure out what plant it was. Take a guess? Um yeah, the Orange Goji! And the cheese is budding, you would think it would be the stinky one. We started laughing as soon as we got near the OG, both saying Duh! Of course it is!
Ma Petite smell has changed a bit… someone said it smelled like a fruit cake. Yeah kinda or like a Panettone those Italian bread cakes. Yummy! I’m so curious what her buds are gonna be like on those short internodes. Looks like pistils are starting to cluster quite a bit here and there on most. I’m guessing they should all bud by next week. We are barely less than 14 hours of sun so its kinda crazy. My logs from years past had earliest flower at 13:46 of sun I believe. We should be there soon. The cheese budded at over 14 hrs. Still so odd.
Dad drilled holes in the palm tree stump from last week and we poured a bunch of coarse salt down in there. Hoping it kills it.
Always a great day hanging out with Dad and as soon as he left, my Man rolled up with some really beautiful roses for me. Really gorgeous a yellow and red hybrid type. Didn’t expect to see him today and certainly not with flowers. That made my day! Nice surprise! Been watching the Olympics this afternoon. YouTubed some of the skateboarding and watching the women’s gymnastics team qualifiers now. I love the Olympics!
Oh, yes, he speaks the truth… ugh.//…/
@Meesh, you can buy a fungus powder to pour into drilled holes in a stubborn stump. I forget the name. It works to slowly decompose it… seems like it had to be organic. peace
Look at this ugly mofo. Terrifying on zoom actually. He’s going to town on my daisy plant.
I think this is called an army worm. It’s gonna be a big ugly brown moth.
In seasons past didn’t you have a neighbours light shining in your yard or something that could have kept the girls from flowering for a while longer? Just a thought.
I bet you are chuffed you have a moth barrier now seeing the crapperpillar.
Ah Ha! My neighbor’s light. Possibly. Good memory! Forgot I had asked them to adjust it.
So happy about the bug barrier! Even though some hatched in there, it’s still cut it way down. I BT sprayed the plants and ground last week. Should probably hit it again in case of a cycle. If I can catch it at the perfect time. I can completely eradicate them before bud. Haven’t seen any pillars since the one last time I sprayed. Been checking as many leaves as possible for eggs. Aside from the moth pillars, I’m hoping for some actual Monarch pillars, since I planted the milkweed this year. Nothing so far. I have heard that the birds grab most of them. Only a few usually survive, I guess. I always have at least 2 Monarchs flying around out there at all times, but they didn’t hatch in my yard. Not yet anyway.
btw… have you ever had to take your CPAP on an overnight flight? I’m wondering if I should just suck it up or see if the airline has to accommodate me?
Nope I’ve never flown that far. I would just call the airline and see if they can do anything for you.
I hate flying, not because of any danger aspect just because it’s uncomfortable and airports especially suck with all the announcements.
Women’s Olympic Skateboarding right now! Bad Ass! #Chickpower
@Meesh just turned that on, pretty cool
Man, some of these girls are only 13! I’m over here cheering and clapping at the TV lol
yeah, kids in the olympics is crazy
Best in the WORLD! Its awesome! So glad they finally added it to the games! I mean how long have they had snowboarding now? I’m thinking at least 12 to 16 years now.
It sprinkled for most of the night and morning but not enough to really water anything. Enough to wet surfaces and cool things off. Wish it would have poured.
