Day 49 Still moving along, even the neglected photoperiod.
Day 51 some are starting to slow down which is good as im taking off in a bit, so likely will chop regardless come the weekend just to give me a bit of time to dry otherwise i’ll just throw whatever plants on the deck for the week or so ill be gone, but i expect to be chopping at least 5 of these and typically the other two will follow after doing the first five.
Very nice @Mr.Sparkle !
Thanks, for what they are and the minimal effort of trying wicks on this run plus only 70w of light in either cab im fine with how they have turned out, and learn’t some thing in the process.
Day 53, defoliated some of the bigger leaves this morning, should do a straight water flush tonight not that there is enough time where it would truly come into play but wont hurt either at this stage.
Also a package arrived from the @The_Vault_Team yesterday from a give away they were doing, thanks again.
You should be spending your money on children’s clothes not seeds you irresponsible so and so!
lol thats what inlaws are for already way too many clothes, though kiddo is already in the 3-6month clothes at almost week 5 out growing all here infant 0-3month clothes, she’s a big one.
Both baby and plant ages are expessed in weeks.
Day 56 and chopped them all down bit after lunch, were they done no but taking off to the cabin next week so better to chop early and dry before taking off than to have to worry, or gamble on watering or throwing them on the deck or whatever.
Good enough.
Also a bonus shot of how the roots only saturated the bottom 1/3 to 1/4 of the pot with this wick style, so reason alot of say octopots and the likes use such large pots as they don’t fully get utilized.
Congratulations!!
How well are you sleeping?
My son was Born 7/7/23 , being a dad is both the most difficult and the most rewarding thing ever! I love it!
Great to see that you’re balancing both baby and garden too!
I know you have heard it before but cherish this time. @Mr.Sparkle . Make plenty of good memories and take more pictures than you think you will ever need. Years from now, you will still wish that you had taken more.
Congratulations man. You are in for the best, hardest job ever.
I envy you in a lot of ways. Mine are grown up and gone to make their own way now. I dig through all of those pictures often. Like I said. Take a lot of them and back them up on an external hard drive.
Just some friendly advice.
Congrats and indeed been pretty luck and smooth for the most part, the odd issue but in comparison really nothing, also im also already back at work as well and will be taking my paternity leave at the tail end so the lady can transition back to work easier when the time comes, so i do what i can where i can the best i can.
@MoBilly thats something i realized the other day, like we have lots and lots of photos floating around but actual ones ive taken are few as of late, and shes growing quick in body and in mind its literally daily changes and going by so quick, my parents get a visit for about 10 days come later this week plus sis and family as were heading up to the cabin, i know it will go by in flash like it normally does but just more so this year.
Mrs Foreigner has her whole life in artwork and pictures on a server that completely died. She paid a lot of money to have it professionally saved. It’s like 30 years of life memory and school artwork.
Ah that’s cool, its all a balancing act. I feel that.
I’ve been lucky enough to share my partners parental leave, she is returning to work in few weeks, but works from home.
I’m not back to work until early November, but I do have a couple other ‘unofficial jobs’ to help pay the bills.
Delivering luxury cars and being an artist.
It’s a varied life
Yeah we will be sharing our leave , technically also get a bit more when both mother and father take time off as makes sense and I’ll be taking my max amount just at the tail end, already feeling like I’m missing out a little but gotta do what you gotta do and make the best of what I can do.
And you already have a cabinet to put the kid in all ready to go.
Best wishes
Well back and with some seedling some seedlings on the go.
Day 1 will get into it more with some other pictured maybe tomorrow or tuesday.
Day 2 has one of the slow ones succumb to rot no issue though as i was one of the laggards.
So awhile back i did something that like 95+% on here would consider blaspheme and ill share my thought process and why.
What did i do ? well I mixed pretty much all my seeds together
Why did i do that well with the plethora of seeds that i have made myself and have received from other members over the years it got to the point i had alot of different “strains”, issue though was deciding on what next was a choir and there were inherent bias’s from how something was named, whether i had an altered perception of the parent stock or just way to many to choose from and not enough time to get to run them all.
So i decided to mix them all up, one container is my own crosses, another is OG members crosses, and that big vial in the back was what i was calling my last chance auto mix and has been that way for a good year or two now of crosses i had made or other seed i had run that i didn’t favour, and some un mixed more recent or specific old stuff on the side.
The though process as to why i mixed was that the good plants will show themselves when growing and alot of my perceived biases from name and such will be taken away, now sure there is gonna be alot more to weed through and finding said plant again if one wanted to would be hard but thats part of the fun, i figure some plants will pop up that i like that probably i would of never of gotten around due just due to those biases and it just adds more fun to growing for me.
Now not planned this kinda falls inline with an old auto project i wanted to do which there was a thread about but failed in some way i cant remember, but same vein in that threat that you had a mix from og members and picked the tops to you and made your own crosses from there and shared them back after a little work.
Anyways seeds i started this round were a bunch from my own crosses, and used up the rest of the double grape big yield MI5 crosses from @chronix last round as i liked what came from those plants so running them out with possibly some getting hit with pollen or making pollen from, and ill be starting some og member mix seeds as back fill once these get filtered down.
