Growroom climate control

Hi guys!
During our last grow we used a 2500m3 softbox with a 2500m3 carbon filter but with 4 led lights(close to 3000w in total) it ran way hotter as we wanted…
So we had the chance to buy a 5000m3 alu softbox with 2 in & 1 out(315mm) for a really cheap price…
We knew it was kinda overkill but it was more logic to have extra capacity instead of not enough…
Is there any way to dim the box some more?
We run it on a 7amp climate controller but at the lowest speed/% setting it’s still too much power and noisy lol
Would plugging the controller into a simple plug in dim switch work ?
We now have 2 ceiling mounted 2500m3 carbon filters(250mm tubing) as air in and a y connector(250mm) on the 315mm air out with 2 x 250mm tubes that go out of the room…
We have a 250mm hole as passive air in…
At the lowest setting the airflow is still really loud and whistles in every room in the house lol

Sorry for my bad english, hope anyone understands what i mean :stuck_out_tongue:
cheers!

Do you know the LED drivers model numbers?

I think using a plug-in dim switch might help lower the speed and noise a bit, but you might also want to see if there’s any extra tweaking possible on the controller itself. Sometimes even a small adjustment can make a big difference.

I tried , everything on lowest setting …
Almost regret buying the 5000m3 box:joy::joy:
I could have just bought a 2000m3 box to use with the 2500m3 box i already had :joy:
Maybe i need to check if i can reduce the noise itself by adding some kind of foam/insulation under the box…
What type of dimmer should i get? Something like this?
