Not so much Florida specific but maybe have a read on uk420 they got a guerilla growers section with lots of info that might help your biggest issue is I know Florida is humid as hell but at least you get decent sun tho

Hot , humid , bugs , wildlife , john law , hunters & an ever expanding population . Can be done but odds are not in your favor . They treat cultivation somewhere between running a meth lab & being a pedophile . All that said stick with sativa or sat - dom hybrids derived from tropical locations . Some OG’s are OK but anythng with tight buds & a squat bushy structure won’t make it . Old days you’d avg 20 - 30% return as rest would be lost to bugs , critters , rippers or cops . These days with the shear amount of people out & about 'd wager around 1 in 10 would make it . Law & hunters got thermal night vision now & it’s a whole lot harder moving about w/o being seen .

yep. plant five plots to get one. hide them well and don’t return until time for them to start turning, then camp out and pull the males and don’t return until harvest time. we used to crawl into a briar bush and hollow out some of the inside. don’t take out too much or it’s real visible from the air.

I used to gorrila grow allot before it came legal in michigan. find a fast flowering plant do not use autos i suggest finding a spot first before you get any seeds dont be afraid to stomp out into the woods but remember its spring and the leaves are not out yet what looks like a good spot now might be unusable later.

Grow longer flowering sativas that finish in Nov. The rainy season in FL generally starts in late May and lasts through Oct. Hurricane season is over Nov 1st. Try to find a sativa that finishes after this so you can harvest in November/ early Dec.

Everyone will tell you to get a fast flowering strain, but this is not necessarily great advice for outdoor growing in FL. Faster plants will finish when the weather is the worst and they’ll typically have significant indica influence which makes them vulnerable to PM and botrytis. Everywhere else in the US is trying to beat the cold weather, but you don’t have the same challenges. Go with sativas…it’s a better high too IMO.

There are plenty of seed banks that ship to FL. I’d start by finding what strains you want to try, then find out who sells those seeds! North Atlantic Seed Company is one option and they have a bunch of ACE gear which is a good place to start. Pay attention to what strains have high resistance to mold/rot.

Safest place is to grow in your closet. Or just plant some female plants in the woods somewhere.

Take a look at KC brains gear especially kc33 for example would probably suit you well tis cheap hardy and is a sativa Dom hybrid it’s a nice smoke especially if you like lemony type stuff

Reconsidering this… Probably not worth the risks involved.

Guerilla grows are a thrill. Ill never quit doing it. Keeps you fit and organised plus its the truest test for any strain.

My first suggestion is always strain variety. Climate change from year to year so plant different stuff.

The old rule is to plant twice as many plants as you plan to harvest. Youll lose 25% to climate/clitters/acts of God and 25% to finishing times/theives/bad genetics.

My mentor was against traps, and so i dont do them.

Sophistication makes a difference if something was to happen. So keep it simple. If you really have to run irrigation lines, keep them burried.

Dont cut a 5000sqft square you can see from above. I take advantage of surrounding growth and take notice of sun angles through seasons so that any indigenous brush dont shade my stuff.

Plan for water.
Plan drying.
Plan for an escape.

Theres a lot more but for now…

Enjoy!

Pure indicas do very well when planted in January and harvested in early to mid May. April and May are the driest months in FL, so almost the entire flower cycle is under super dry conditions.
