No problem, i am basing my clay pebble grow on your method, so it is nice for the fellow growers reading thi. Maybe they see something they like and want to try out!
I thought it through some more and decided to start with twenty cuts on 12/12. Plants this size should be able to haul 25 grams and not have much problems catching on. The plants are ordered in rows of five and when the table is full there will fit 35 of them on it and maybe even 40. So far the theory! Now the following weeks we will see how it goes.
On the free space will fit another fifteen of twenty plants. Most likely fifteen when i look at the picture now. They will join the party the next weeks. Maybe five every week or so.
These are the cuts that will wind up on the table when they have a little more roots. Until that time they function as mothers. This way i don’t have to keep mothers. A slight advantage of my system is you ask me.
How do you find the rock wool blocks compared to your pots ? Do they out preform you grow medium? I’m sitting on a pile of growdan blocks from a couple years back had full intentions to switch to them just never got around to trying them. Been a dirt farmer for years now.
All media have pros and cons. I never had problems with rock wool getting dialed in contrary to clay pebbles that was much of a hassle for me. So far all media i’ve tried gave similar results in similar situations. But clay pebbles i have yet to see, it is the first time for me working with a medium that needs to be watered this often. It surprises me that the plants on rock wool that are on the same table don’t seem to mind it. Normally i water plants on rock wool every three to four days and sometimes even not for a week.
I was always Leary if the wool dried out too much the plants died in sunshine mix they seem to handle it better I’ve had some droopy dry plants in dirt that bounce right back after watering.
Ran mapito and if it dries out your plants are toast there’s no coming back after that screw up.
That is certainly true, but it happened to me on soil too. Some dry plants recovered but they lost their appetite to drink after it and almost did not produce buds in the end. Drought is the enemy of our beloved plants so it is my enemy.
Looking at this photo again, i am starting to doubt weather the plants to the left are receiving enough light this way.
This lamp needs to be leveled in order to profit from side reflection if i am correct. What do you guys think?
Light should be level in my opinion
I think Level is the best option
Ya level I’d say build some stilts for those short legged girls .
Done.
Thanks!
Good move
Raise the short ones
When the next set goes under, the light will be higher so the new clones wont have the extreme light intensity and hopefully things goes smooth
Perpetual is a nice way
And your shorter older plants in the middle for the most light concentration so that they still produce as the larger ones
Yes it certainly is! I will try to keep plants as long in the veg room as needed until they can handle the light in the 12/12 room. With the plants on the table already being a bit bigger that is at the moment the best perpetual method for the buck for me i think. Still lack a bit material so i can use the time to make that.
Looks like a huge nice tent what size is it ? All that room if it’s just vegging your doing throw a t5 up and move the shorties off to one side could be easier .
Hamme try 3x sog plant in one of those round pots with a short veg go for the headbud(most weight) with less side branching and see after what that will produce @each pot now you can test a setup every 2 weeks and see what will be the best for you (now you dont have to wait till the grow is over to test something new)
It’s a 4 x 4 Gorilla tent. Moving the smaller ones under a t5 is a good idea that i take into consideration. Thanks!
I like that idea of three cuts in one pot. Soon as i have enough material i will give it a go. The biggest plants now in the 12/12 room will likely become bigger then ideal but if they produce 25 grams each it still will be a good haul for only 350 watts.
Your Sog is a beast!!!but remember you need to reach i your grow room to move things around so if you can open your tent from 2 or 3 sides that will be ideal ( your backwill thank you ) and a lot of defoliate i do at 21 dayys and 49 en in beteen a leave here and there for optimum lighting
In my set up i have only the front opening but i have only 70 cm deep so its eazy to reach and move things around
