Handguns and firearms talk

I have a ksg I use for home defense. One tube turkey shot the other is loaded with slugs. Depending on where they are in my house determines what they get shot with. I have to be careful as my daughter keeps an ar beside her bed lol

I just use the 7 1/2’s for inside, dont need nothing more than that.
Saw a guys one side if a hip disintegrate in a mishap. Besides that they need to be in your home when you shoot them otherwise its murder.
Now outside a different story.

At this range or anywhere close, a hollow point .22 will absolutely drop a bear or any large animal

Only if you have good shot placement. Otherwise run🏃‍♂️

@anon81143130 you’re going to love that CZ man. The lack of recoil/muzzle flip and your follow up shots will win you over no doubt. If you get the Cajun bug I’d suggest using a local reputable smith rather than sending it to CGW, it’ll be a couple months before you get it back from them.

a lot of the cops carry 40’s mainly because the fbi adopted them, after trying 10mm’s and seeing it was to much gun for most.

@Molto_Mota I think the trigger is pretty great already. Yes the double action is heavy but its very very smooth. Im just going to install the ultra lite kit for $50 and will do it myself.
I’ve only run 200 rounds flawlessly through it. The only thing I dont love about it are the absolute worst sights I have ever seen. I ordered a set of truglo tfx pro sights and some zombie green lok grips.

Gonna be a beauty!

Oh and the worst sights I’ve seen are on my 590 but I can’t bring myself to change them because the entire gun is a meme :rofl:

I’m talking amateur punisher skull stippling, wish.com sidesaddle, and the sights are a busted out reflex used as a ghost ring, and the standard red fiber optic bead up front. It’s truly majestic.

Your still going to have to defend that action in the court of law. Pretty hard to say you felt threatened shooting a running intruder. Just saying. The laws are there ti protect your right to defend yourself but you still have to prove that the killing was just.

The castle doctrine applies to your home, vehicle, hotel room and some states your owned business. Stand your ground law applies to using deadly force without the duty to retreat any place you are legally present. You should seriously read up on your local gun laws before assuming. Taking someones life even defending yourself can ruin the rest of your life.

My yard? Wait for him to try to enter my home. I did not watch the video. My point is, the cadte doctrine does not give you the right to defend yourself with deadly force outside your dwelling. Including your yard. Now, if your state has a stand your ground law then you have no duty to retreat in any legally occupied area. But, you still have to prove under scrutiny of the law that your life was in danger. My state has a castle doctrine but is also a duty to retreat state. Meaning outside of my home or vehicle i have to make an attempt to retreat from danger before using deadly force. My best advice. Dont take legal advice from police officers. They enforce laws, not prosecute them and they are often wrong.
