Handguns and firearms talk

It really is… Still a 3 box limit here but I’m slowly stocking up

More than likely my next stop… Conservation snow goose season allows unplugged shotguns and such… Need a 30rd clip and flock shots…been some of those saiga nearly melt the barrel with drum clips… Seems expensive but something to do at least once.

Ar platform is just Legos for adults. I recently built an ar 9 and Holy shit is that fun to shoot.

@PlantShepherd thats how I am as well. I dont buy cheap guns either. Well I do have a few glocks but most of my other stuff cost a tiny bit more. Not that there is anything wrong with cheaper guns. There are some damn good cheaper pistols on the market atm.

Oh yeah. There certainly are.

The problem for me, though, is it always ends-up starting with a budget and ending up spending 2 x budget or more. Fit and finish just calls to me and you just don’t get those check boxes ticked on the inexpensive ones … some of the check boxes perhaps … but after you’ve experienced the difference in triggers, action, et al it’s all over. Or, maybe a better way to say it, once you know what you’re looking for. There is some trashy expensive stuff out there of course.

Marine buddies I know just trash their equipment. Creepy sand paper triggers, things falling off the weapon, misaligned sights. Once they start playing around with the nicer things … suddenly they’re all upgrading.

edit: it all works either way but the confidence level increases dramatically when you know it’s not your equipment f’ing with you.

This is not a good poor mans hobby.

This comes to mind every time I hold a desert eagle. Just doesn’t seem comfortable to hold or shoot. I’ve gone with cash in my pocket to buy one and passed each time.

Wow, Desert Eagle. 50cal? Those things are show guns … I can’t imagine they’d be easy to handle … would be fun to try one … maybe for bear?

They jam up/misfeed constantly. The one my buddy had in 357mag was fun to shoot, but would not rely on it at all.

50cal not legal in my state but you can buy the 44 and buy the upper 50. GO FIGURE. Not practical for anything but a movie prop but it’s a nice piece of jewelry.

What brand are you buying? I know 22lr prices have gone up, but the brick of winchester I was using the other day said 10.50 on it lol

I found this for the P365 looking for mags yesterday… Completely unnecessary but for 120$… I might just do it for shits and giggles

Also, for the 9mm fans out there here’s a 350$ Hipoint 9mm carbine (yeah yeah laugh it up, you can comfortably hit things with no sights if you want and haven’t had a jam yet, go look up the videos of DemolitionRanch testing out Hipoint barrel obstructions) that’s beyond fun

I’m giving serious consideration to buying one of these new springfield emissary 1911s

LMFAO!!! I was literally on another tab reading about these before I clicked over here. They look sick as hell! I’m so happy with my xdm, I would buy another springfield in a heartbeat.
