Handguns and firearms talk

Have one myself I have it loaded with 00. Great guns! Dependable and accurate

Nice! I alternated 00 and slugs. Do you have a choke on yours? I really like the ghost ring sights and side saddle. Thinking I might have to get a light for it also. Rifle next on the list. :v:

Yeah I keep the choke in just in case I have to use it. Law enforcement purposes cuz I only bought it as a defense gun. Man I use to alternate slugs with the 00. I might go back to that. Either way 10 shots of that will do great damage!!

I believe .22 caliber has killed more humans than any other round. I think most bears would laugh at them, but as long as the bear isnt super aggressive I would think the sound would scare most of them off. Ive been told many times that the absolute minimum caliber to even slow a bear down is .357- not the regular round either, gotta be the “bear” specific cartridge. I have some, but dang it hurts the wrist to shoot them !
Most seem to think the .50 cal is the way to go, but Im not gonna carry one of those heavy ass cannons backpacking, Ill take my chance with the lil .357 snubby

If your a big dude you can get shot by a 22 and keep going if your pissed especially if you don’t get hit in the face. I would feel ore comfortable with a 9mm or up. As far as bears go I would go the 44 mag rout

Also we have tons of bears here. They literally walk right up to our backporch. Have startled the crap out of me before, but never seen one get too aggressive, even while walking up on them in the woods unarmed. Most times they check you out for a second before trampling off on their way. The lions and moose are way scarier in my opinion. Heres a pic of one that cruised up to check out my tomatoes a couple of years ago.

Ill bet y’all, one well placed .22 cal. Round will take any bear out. Dont know if I’d want to be the one placing that round. Maybe like a sniper at 300 yards.

No way in hell I would ever carry a .22. my side arm for hunting is a 10mm, the s&w 460 is just a bit too heavy to carry all damn day

I saw a big sob get shot 10 times in a parking lot from a 22 caliber and still kicked the guys ass! He lives too… we had to pull him off. At the same time I seen people kill deer with a 22 as well

im cool with a .22, but its only one tool in the box, but on the same thought i wont debate it or argue it

I was in the emergency room for a severe migraine once. Guy walked in with a huge knot on his forehead that was bleeding a little. He had been shoot in the head with a .22, they gave him a rag and rooms him to go sit down. Lol

Just watch using it inside will go thru a shield of walls hurting others possibly.

7 1/2’s close range like in a house will cut someone in half and no other caualities

Hell the cops here carry .40 as they had a few meth heads walk right through a full mag of 9mm
