Its pretty cool looking. Ive seen it happen on some of my plants. It isn’t super consistent though. Not every bract will be stripped. One of my mother plants will have some bracts that are fully purple, some that are stripped, and some of the bracts will have a purple/pink tint only on the bottom half.
Its just a cosmetic thing. Great for “bud porn”. Its also good bag appeal, for those that still cares about that.

Coming from someone who has grow variegated monstera. Im not seeing it in any of these. Purple and green is pretty common.

It’s not called a Calyx, it’s actually a bract. The Calyx is deep inside the bract.
