Since you did this experiment, allegedly, of course…and you managed to get botrytis but not powdery mildew (this time) does this necessarily mean everyone everywhere can’t get powdery mildew from airborne spores? No, it doesn’t.
Again…for the 50th time…I HAVE. I am telling you it happened to me. More than once. Other people have said the same thing.
Just because you managed to only get botrytis this time doesn’t mean you can’t get powdery mildew.
Save power and stop running your extraction fans if you’re immune to fungal infections.
FWIW he explained his rationale…really a matter of semantics. Not the word choice I’d use, but he meant it’s always around waiting to reinfest if you run poor conditions. I agree with that part. That’s why he was calling it “unbeatable just controllable”.
Yah grief based his view of PM on misinformation, lots of people do it. And then have a hard time with new information. Sound familiar? I don’t personally think grief is being a sea lion or a troll, I read the thread they posted on OG.
Now you, on the other hand, I have noticed something vernal. You know that sulfur finishes off powdery mildew. Yet if you go back and read, there was no way on earth 2 sprays could finish off the mildew, according to you.
It’s almost like the facts and truth are offensive to you? I mean, you could always prove me wrong, except that people have already tried to falsify what I said. Failed to prove it wrong, I wonder why? Oh it’s because I made sure what I did was repeatable and also that someone else could get the same results every time. Woah… science! Who would have known you can extract knowledge that nobody else, or very few people know?
OMG that was hilarious! Hey that podcast you posted shaping fire about mildew and botrytis, was top notch. Kevin knew some strange shit I never heard before so I was like “ok either he knows things, or he’s full of crap” so I personally verified the details of what he said with an experiment. Yo kevin knows his shit, that guy is gold in the podcast there.
I could try it in a bid to prove you wrong, but I’d need to purposefully infect my grow with mildew. And at the current rate, my bottle of E20 won’t run out for another 10 years…sooo…no thanks on the sulfury mildewy buds.
Does everyone who tries it find it works? I seem to recall a few people upstream who said it did not work for them. Weirdly emotionally overinvested in the world’s oldest fungicide as if you invented it yourself.
And you didn’t address anything I said. “spores can only go 6 meters and I’m the smartest person in Canada” is all I can really glean from that.
oh don’t worry about me, and my emotional state. I’m just the guy who says anyone with mildew problems can message me, and we’ll develop a plan to kill the mildew off, forever. It’s easy to kill, that’s for sure. I’ve finished it off in my grow 20 years ago after I got it from a clone from clonesy-jonesy the mildew master. Last year I finished off the mildew colony infesting the Cucurbits in the garden. I studied it for 5 years, because I know that knowledge is how you defeat the enemy.
Some reason you keep getting mildew? huh strange, it’s like you don’t know how to finish it off and keep from getting it again. Strange eh? Or…hilarious? Take your pick.
Actually, people, I want to get a little off-topic. I’ve seen this so often now…
Self affirmation is where you value yourself for some reason. I do a positive self-affirmation like this:
I value myself, by sticking to the truth that I can easily prove.
I value myself by supporting others in their struggles, by using the truth and facts.
This self affirmation is part of what makes me invincible to trolls. IF you ever find yourself watching other people be sad on tv and thinking oh things are doing good for me compared to that poof sucker, you have to ask youself how you are being valued as a person within.
*I’s all fire and brimstone with this topic…
Fire if you use brimstone (Sulfur) brush pouch for dusting during veg… Every Science Article I read backs it as well as most seed breeders.
LABS during flower if breakout occurs…
Have you found LABS effective/necessary?
Our Organic Milk & Buttermilk Labs work great in Tuscola Michgan and Daytona Beach FL, No PM i n many grows. Many a commercial grow use this, i will gather some other info on LABS and PM, there is more than one solution, correct? Potassium Bicarbonate, Apple Cider Vinegar, lemon juice all wok against it. But for flowering PM what do most recommend?
I’m not sure what you are peddling, but all those “solutions” don’t work. In fact I challenge anyone to eliminate powdery mildew using vinegar, or lemon juice.
Actually I have a real question. Why do you keep posting “solutions” to powdery mildew that will never work?
If you are looking for an alternative to sulfur, Captn’s copper solution experiment is looking really promising. Otherwise, wtf is with all the garbage posting? Some kind of sea lioning project?
No not at all, looking for something beside cease to use in case of bad pm mold during flower indoors or outdoors like 5 years ago, lost quite a bit of product. Peddling - I sell nothing man. General bored trying to figure out what to do between your solution (Used and Proven by Many Others) in veg and what to do in flower.
"garbage posting?" Wont post here again. Some kind of sea lioning project Don’t know what that is, have a great grow this year, Peace
I have been following intently, thinking I will read some more on topic so as to understand better. Thanks for your engagement. Have a great grow year. Peace
I have a bottle of Safers Sulphur Spray from a while back. I need to try using it again. It seems like it was sort of messy and clogged the sprayer, when I used it in the past.
But, I think I’m seeing PM in the earliest stage, but more alarming is another fungus on a couple of clones I had from summer that appeared to me to be Septoria but I’m not certain. I’ve never seen it before but we had more than normal rain here this last year and it showed up on local plants and then go in my pot garden. I haven’t flipped my grow yet and don’t want to until I spray them all. I did heavy trimming today and tomorrow they go to the bathtub for a spray down. I hope you’re right about the sulphur. I have it on hand.
peace
I’m using one, lol! I found a CleanLight Pro for just about what it cost for an oz of weed I lost. 36W UV-c, well made and well thought out and safe enclosure/handle unit.
It does kill pm, but from what I understand, it has to shine directly on it. It can also damage leaves if it gets too close, on them for too long. The undersides of the leaves don’t like it much, either.
So, it really can’t penetrate without being a problem… so it also can’t eradicate it.
Controls very well, but I have to do it every day, and some of the lowers get a tad crispy.
Haven’t seen any for a few months, but I know it’s lurking, it’s a perpetual garden!
I’m going to start sulfur tomorrow. It’s going to be beautiful, I can take the plants outside!
