Have to move some plants

Please don’t kill them.
There may be some transplant shock but it should be no big issue. Way back in the day, used to have a hydro setup for flower and soil in veg. Had to clean the roots off of nine plants and repot into hydroton once a month for like 12-18 months. Never lost a plant.

To me, it sounds like there wouldn’t be a lot of stress going from soil to Hydro. The problem I see is the roots being twisted going into soil when they have been able the hang freely. They aren’t a huge mass but they are for sure longer than the depth of the pot.
