It confuses the hell out of me, but it’s nice to have a somewhat “direct” line to a lot of different breeders. Seems less restrictive than general social media but that can have its drawbacks, people as a whole are pretty disgusting

A lot of servers awhile back were shut down/everyone is on edge about being good which is why i left.

I used to use discord few years back…there was discord that gave away seeds all the time
They SUCK. I was on there for years on Truestoners. Then they made it to where I can’t post pics without resizing them. Oddly enough, to me anyways, my phone has no built in option to make the pixel size smaller as the pics are taken, and it damn sure isn’t worth the trouble to manually resize each pic. Now I don’t share anything on there.

I deleted discord a few years ago when that young Air Force kid released a ton of classified documents on there and the us gov forced discord to make everyone reverify and shit. Don’t trust it anymore

Many of the sites and channels i like have and promote their discord. I’m kind of old and slow, so I’ve resisted. I may have 2 take the plunge. If I can figure it out.

It’s different but it’s not to hard to figure out. Each company/breeder etc has their own channel you join and you’ll only be able to see certain things on the channel based off the permissions you have

Discord is not for everyone but others love it. I am on a few Discord servers but only a few. Used to be more but then I got banned from Discord for being a MOD on a server they banned. So now I keep it a small list. I do love the CSTA, or Canadian Seed Testing Alliance. It’s a cool server with some great breeders who give out their wares for testing. I am on the OG Discord and the Sour Bubble Connoisseurs Society. Also a a couple others but with all the time on OG, I don’t go to Discord mutch.

The communities / servers for the breeders I am into are not very active and can be reported / shut down
I like Discord for fantasy basketball leagues and chatting with friends who moved overseas but I don’t like how your account can be in trouble (as far as they warn you) as part of being in a server or multiple servers that violate the rules

Thanks, man! I used to have more, but I’m guessing they got shut down. I know the Top Dawg server used to have a couple of people that were trying to sell free seeds from OG on it. They never used the same screen name that they use over here so I could never tell who it was

That’s my experience too, around a decade a ago servers got shut down and everyone was freaking out being extremely strict. I ended up going back to it for growing communities and the same thing happened again. Some of the servers i was in were shut down and it was too controlled due to the fear of the server being shut down. Had issues with some mods in servers randomly going off on me just for stating opinions. They never even confronted or anything, no dm or anything. They would watch me and randomly went off on me so that was the end for discord for me.

Some you probably remember a few years ago when Shoe from Headie Gardens had a server, I miss those days. Met a bunch of solid good hearted dudes over there.
