Having issues with the site

I’m having issues with the site. First I noticed that the usual OG “logo” that appears on the left side of the “tab” in a browser (firefox for eg.) is just a square with random colored vertical fuzzy looking lines). Now today, I’m trying to post a picture or two here and when I try to upload it, it’s just a blank square (no image) with a kind of fuzzy random color to it.
@LemonadeJoe @Northern_Loki

-just got this error message: Sorry, there was an error uploading PXL_20241209_122537105.jpg. Please try again.
Tried again with another picture, but it just showed an olive green blank square.
Uploading an image downloaded from the internet shows up fine. But pictures from the phone are not uploading or displaying right.

-tried the same procedure with a picture taken with, and uploaded from, a different phone. Moved to the pc first, then attempted to upload. Just a purple fuzzy square, no image.

-Screenshot. Note the logo for OG is… messed up.:

Here’s a screenshot of the editor:

That pink block where the image/image preview should be is what the OG logo in the corner of the tab also looks like. This was using a firefox based browser.
It seems to maybe not be doing this behavior on Brave browser…

-Still doesn’t work in firefox, in “troubleshoot” mode (no extensions, etc.).

Brave is unfortunately not supported. Firefox is supported.

One thing you might check is hardware acceleration in the browser, try turning it off, assuming Brave gives you a setting for it. Sometimes the hardware acceleration can get wonky in browsers, resulting in weirdly drawn stuff like you are seeing.

Thanks for moving this post for me, @LemonadeJoe.
It was actually not working in firefox (librefox). But it was working in Brave. Strange.

I’ll check that out. Thanks for the suggestion.

Librefox is highly modified Firefox. I am afraid that Librefox is not supported and there might be issues.

SSL provides full encryption so I would not bother using Tor, Brave or Librefox.
