Hearty, Durable, Resilient Sativa strains?

Looking for strains (seeds more specifically) of nice tough Sativa, fit for outdoors in Florida…HELP!!!

Every area is different so what works in FL may not work in CA.

Since last time I was in FL, I got swamp butt from just walking from the vehicle to someone’s door, You would want to look at mold resistant strains. These are typically from SE Asia and Central/South America. Maybe someone who lives there can chime in but you want rot resistance.

Also if you are inland, that’d be different from the coast. Coast was much milder.

Your going to want a more open bud structure tight log buds not going to cut the mustard Like above says what works in cali might not work in Florida.Different areas also have different mold strains so you might have to fuck around and find out what your climate tolerates.I can tell you @JohnnyPotseed Frankenstein is very mold resistant and i grow it every year i live in humidity alley next to a great lake so i have to also rely on stuff that is mold resistant

I think @Calyxander and/or @boatbum325 might be able to recommend good strains to grow outdoors in a hot & humid environment

I can only speak to growing in South Florida, I haven’t yet grown outdoors in my present Central Fl location.

I have had very few problems with bud rot and PM has been virtually nonexistent in my experience growing outdoors in South Palm Beach County and Broward and Dade Counties.

I anticipate needing to be more vigilant with my first outdoor crop in Central FL, as it seems to be more humid and cooler in the winter, spring and fall seasons here. It is a little hotter over the long summer as well

The worst area that I ever grew outdoors in was Northern NJ. Powdery Mildew ruined bushels and bushels of pretty flowers. Botrytis was a close second for bud destruction.

Anyway I like Satori and Far Out from Mandala, Northern Lights x Haze, Apollo 11, C-99, too many more, but overall in SoFla, relatively trouble free.

I think Central Fl will be more challenging.

Also, I only grow in containers, and usually move all of my plants indoors for overnights.

Grew up in South FL ( Miami /Ft Lauderdale area & as stated above conditions aren’t that bad . Been up north in the Panhandle since ‘79 & it’s much different . Hotter much more humid more pests abundant wildlife etc . Seedstock pretty much derived from South / Central America , South Asian sources sativa - based . You want worked lines as you’re not able to develop them covertly . Another consideration is finishing before the frosts which wasn’t a problem down south . It’s only snowed twice in Miami in my lifetime & I’m 75 . Anything that’s not at least 70% Sativa does not work in my current locale @ 30 degrees N . Down south NL Haze , C99 , Jack are doable but not up here consistently . Forget unworked landrace stuff as there’s just too many variables to getting a consistent product until you’ve worked them to P 3 - 4 . You don’t want to be dealing with runts , herms etc . Another vital item is concealing plants , especially a 10 - 20’ sativa tree . Lots of subtle little tricks you’ll have to learn if you want to enjoy your harvest . Silence is your best freind . Be low key & don’t advertize . Lose the swag ie t-shirts , cozees anything weed related . Don’t go around reeking like dank nugs & don’t deal . Jailhouse full of folks who got ratted out . KEEP your mouth shut , don’t tell anyone your bizness . Like Grandpa said " even fish wouldn’t get in trouble if they kept their mouth shut" . If caught you WILL go to prison PERIOD .
