I have a finished pumphouse that I’m converting. It’s pretty much finished with lighting, mini split, dehu, etc, etc. I’m just looking for a heater to control my my dark period lows. I’m looking for a heater with forced air, digital thermostat, and defeatable display. Any recommendations? Space is approximately 5’x10’. I’m in the US.
5 x 10, why forced air? I’d drop one of these in there with a power strip and call it a day
Just a thought, have a great day
I have a similar heater … I added a small ‘computer fan’ behind it blowing through the slots, it works OK

I’ve got a De’longhi oil filled, simply an awesome investment. Don’t use it often anymore, more of a seedling mat dude now.
Hope things are good for you and yours, have a great holiday season
It’s a small area with very limited options for placement of the heater. I basically have to have it sitting right next to the plants so I’m looking for a heater with a fan to avoid issues with micro climates from having the heat source so close.
Same here. Probably the safest.
Dude a mini split will heat as well as cool. A good one can be set to auto and should hold temp within 2 degrees of set point up or down except in the most extreme circumstances.
Edit to say if you go with a standard heater like an oil filled or hot coil make sure you keep an eye on it. They will almost definitely fry the outlet they are plugged into eventually. New wiring is better but still at risk.
Edit 2 and for the sake of your property don’t use any form of extension cords with it. That will almost invariably lead to melt down and fire. It’s not if but when
Ac infinity makes a tent heater. Dont know if its spec’ed for that big a space tho. I think @Ris is knowledgeable about ACI.
The ACI heater has a long tube for positioning it how you like. I currently have mine sitting outside the tent, with the hose laid almost directly in the center.
PTC heater blocks using PWM, smart…
{I love engineering driven manufacturing companies…}

If you have the option of making your ( sleep time for plants lights OUT during the day) in conjunction with your mini split that would be best bet. If not get you an electric heating element heater with thermostat.
To help your mini split in the lung room.
So, no recommendations that actually fit the description of what I’m looking for? The ac infinity thermoforge 3 is close but reviews say it isn’t nearly enough to heat a comparable space and, from what I can tell, the display is way too bright for being in the same space as the plants. It’s starting to look like I’ll just wire a wall heater in.
This is going to be another addition to the list of things that fail to meet your recommendations, but just throwing it out there in case it’ll be a better fit than a electric wall heater.
I use a wall mounted ventless propane heater to heat a 12x12 greenhouse over the winter; PROCOM model ML100TBAHR. It has a dial type thermostat, hooks to a grill propane tank, and it’ll add CO2 to the environment. It’s not an infrared model, so clearance in front isn’t an issue. I mount a oscillating fan about 3ft above it on the wall to force the heat around.
It also will add humidity… which might be a deal breaker for ya, but if not you might want to consider sweet lady propane for all of your heating needs. Taste the meat, not the heat.
I couldnt say for sure but id like to think that the aci heater has a display “off” mode. All their other equipment seems to.
Thanks, I didn’t confirm that since I was already able to find that it’s undersized formy space.
I use a small infrared 15 dollar heater from menards it works well for me.
My dehumidification isn’t sized for adding a propane heater and I’m not looking to have to fill co2 and propane bottles. Not to mention the potential corrosion to ac and dehumidifier condensers.
I have that one in my 4x4. It’s nice, but it struggles when it gets in the 40s.
I love that it sits outside the tent.
It sits outside the tent
Sorry, I just reread you have a large 5x10. What temps does it get down to?
