Please share your grows and pics if you have had the pleasure of running anything from the legendary Potcast host & seed maker Heavy Dayze.

Never heard of them myself.
I did see their offerings, and do not know much about the genetics used.
Looks and sounds decent to me anyway.

Big fan of Heavy Dayze and The Potcast, but his beans were always a bit high priced for what they were, so I never purchased any, although I did consider it. He has some nice looking stuff, but he just sounds like a regular grower when he picks breeders’ brains. I feel like I would have purchased his whole catalog at 50/pack. 100/pack is too much to pay for homie beans.
Edit: And I like to buy a breeder’s main work, and it seemed the Raspberry Mumma Queen was rarely in stock.

Hey @DietPeps also a big fan. Yeah I’m not sure about the price, probably depends where you live or from which seed bank is stocking them? Also on the pot cast I think he plays the role of humble interviewer as opposed to talking up his own talents.
Just In my experience with the few beans of his I got my hands on, they were up there with some of the best I’ve grown.

He has access to all the elite cuts so no reason why his beans would not be good. He’s a scientist of some description. Like a chemical engineer or some such. Too much GSC in his vars for my taste. Two weeks of smoking any GSC or GSC crosses and I reach for something else.

Hi @Mestizo Do you remember the names of those ones? I don’t know as much as I’d like to about what’s in his genetics. I think I have only tried one that has cookies in it which was the Chemscout Fury… it was a strong put you on the couch type.

It was cheaper and better to buy from him directly. But he’s decided to stop selling seeds now. There’s a few left at seedsherenow and he’s still giving them away on discord and Patreon. I have lots of his genetics but haven’t started anything yet

HeavyD isn’t a full time breeder. He has a regular daytime job and produces what I consider to be a very informative podcast. He is a hobby grower and like many of us limited by many factors.
I think that if the interviews were deeper/even more detailed than they are they would appeal to a smaller subset of cannabis enthusiasts.
That being said, it seems like he stopped selling his crosses. I think that pricing his seeds like he did was the only way he could get something from the time he was putting into it and still being able to provide seeds for people. His whole thing was small scale and I’m pretty sure he sometimes smoked seeded flower for a couple months to be able to try crossing some plants. I’m not saying they weren’t somewhat expensive or trying to justify the prices but it is hard to know everything that goes on someone’s life to judge it in a fair manner.

2 different phenos from memory. For me they weren’t massive yielders but bag appeal was off the chart imho.

Happy to share man! I liked one of em so much I revegged it, the mother died right as I took the cut. So grew her back from that cut, luckily I still have her and have flowered a couple of times again since.
The smell is not insanely strong. For me… Very floral.
After a cure the jar smells almost Pot Pourrie like but not in an overpowering way.

I can’t choose! Probably a Raspberry mumma.
Been a huge fan of the Lane Cove in the past. I always struggle with the decision of popping a whole pack to search for the best keeper or just cracking one or two so I can preserve the rest of the seeds for later on. No jinx here, seen some really nice pics of that one ay.
