Help needed my plant developed purple stem

What’s up growmies Im having some problems with my plant my plant developed a purple Stem Im thinking its from stress. I am growing the Hibernator from anthos seeds its a clone I bought at a local conference and have had to move it to different locations

. My buddie fed it at 1300ppm for the first feed using new earth custom nutrients and the second feed I fed at 1108ppm and the water was ph to 5.9. Any advice on how I can get rid of the purple stem? I don’t think its from genetics.

Does the stem feel woody, meaning hard like a twig? And what are you feeding it?

And, IMO, 1100 ppm is way to much for a plant that size. Prob 6-800 woild be fine.

I zoomed in on the plant and the leaves indicate a deficiency or pests. Can you post up some closeup pictures of the leaves?

I believe purple stems are a symptom of stress. Sounds like you’re feeding a bit much and the PH is a little low. Should be around 6.5-7 in soil. Rectifying things like that should help.

Can you post a better photo bc hard to tell anything but I’ve grown plenty of strains with purple stems… could be genetics or deficiency

I can’t speak to your plant specifically but some plants just throw purple stems.

Here’s a ppm chart

At this stage I’d only feed at 500 ppms and ph to between 5.8 to 6.3

Also use plain water only every other watering ( ph ‘d of course )

On the purple stem I agree with @Foreigner

But it could be too much p

Just as an example I grew 2 Blue Taras and one was normal green stem and the other had stems with a lovely lavender hue.

Both equally healthy. Both exactly the same in structure. End result the same. Just one had purple stems.

Yea from now on I wont feed as high on the ppm this early I was following the chart the nutrient company gave me and they had for this stage of veg 700ppm-1100ppm.

Some plants like to throw purple almost like a sunburn on Stems to offshoot bright intense LED light as well.It spreads into Purple magenta leaf tinging later down the road. Some of these plants have it hard wired into thier genetic makeup as an epigenegic response to an environmental stressor IE intense light.

Couldn’t hurt to try it out whats the worse thing that could happen you have to turn it back up again? When ever my plants get a case of the ass i always turn the light down a touch and see if that helps.Bright light does different things to different plants as well. Some plants will do a droop almost looks like overwatering leaves will point to the ground almost,Ive seen some plants point thier leaves almost straight up at the light and not that pray for calmag 45 but like finger in an light socket straight up.Got to play ot by ear sometimes
