Hi everyone. Just got in some stankasaures clones from a mail order. They’ve arrived in soil plugs though!
Should I try to rinse the soil off them and plant straight into some Hydroton?
What are the chances they survive?
Any help is appreciated!!

They look pretty good. Are they in peat? Where do you ultimately want them to live?
Hey Foreigner thanks for the quick response!
They are going into Hydroton filled 6" pots then into a DWC bucket.
I had thougt soil originally? But could be peat?!
Here’s a couple more pics
Peat plugs, you can put straight into your media no removal needed.
Awesome man thank you!!!
They have long stems, you can bury them deep in hydroton so the plant will be more firm. Just be careful while watering from top until roots reach water so no soil is dismantled and falls …
I would remove as much organic matter as possible before introducing into a hydro environment, but I don’t use organic nutes for my hydro grows. Too risky for my taste…
I used to start clones in peat pellets, then strip them of the peat before putting them in my ebb and flow buckets (with hydroton). Just soak the bulk of the peat off, then use a pressure sprayer or spray bottle to get the rest off.
Thanks for taking the time to help !!
I followed Eugenes advice and put them straight into the Hydroton as is.
The website I ordered from also got back to me and said the same thing, they good to go straight into the system .
