Right guys. @Daytripr69 is the nominated builder. So if possible we could do with sending any donations towards the LED build in that direction. Not sure if you got a PayPal it can be sent to?

Thanks - just having dinner here in Vietnam haha… Is the driver already sourced if not what would be ideal? I am pretty sure I have a brand new one that I haven’t used HLG-320H-54 I believe it is, although I wont be home until the 21st/ 22nd to see / ship… havent done a strip build so dont have my head wrapped around the technical requirements.

The HLG320h54 is probably more suited to a cree cxb build than strip lights I would think. Vf is around that Mark I think. 560mm eb2 strips run on 19.5v so I don’t think the driver would be compatible in this instance. Although thats a bloody good driver to wish to donate.
Do you say “good morning Vietnam” every time you wake up. I’d probably have to if I was there
I’ve got a driver here that would give him around the 120w mark but non dimmable etc so may be worth considering trying to get a meanwell XLG 240 L-AB in for the driver. Should be enough power for a 2x2ft tent

Ah yeah probably overkill too for some reason was thinking 2x4 space. Forgive me for not having read through everything. Been riding a scooter around Dalat and not on the phone much since originally seeing this post earlier today.
I started recently with LEDs myself and love it so far. I am running the QB96 V2s with 2 per each of these drivers. Haven’t tried the COB builds yet.
I have absolutely said good morning Vietnam a lot hahah… and the currency being Dong… dong du dong dong dong.
Will think if I may have anything else to offer that may be helpful and if not at least try to throw a monetary donation of some sort once the info is available…

I’ve never used the QBs myself so I really wouldn’t know. I’ve never really been fond of the idea of such close spacing of the diodes. I’ve built a fair few COBs but never bothered with the crew because they’re around 3x more expensive a watt here lol.
I’m guilty of flicking my phone onto OG for like a second. Reading a bit then getting sidetracked. I’d be riding round nam myself on a scooter given the opportunity lol.

Right on! @DatDamDog is a righteous brother. Indeed a hero. I’ve been talking to him also and am sending him some auto seeds. I’ve got every light I own in tents. I would definitely help by chipping in. What kind of light did you have in mind? Great idea. It’s a great opportunity to help a brother and do something to show our gratitude as a family for a stand up guy. Let me know how to help.
