Can anyone in the Overgrow world discuss with me the amount of hermie plants that ended up producing some of the more potent lines we have enjoyed since mel frank came to the scene? What’s the deal with these particular plants during breeding?

Chem/skunk come to mind, some of the offspring will have a tendency to hermie. Stress/light leaks are known to trigger it sometimes it just shows up at the start of flowering under ideal condition’s. You can stress them out/mess with the light hours and keep the ones that don’t hermie.

Has there been a line that went hermaphradite that was better or stood out and used to make beans? I ask because when i started growing i was lower income and would find some hemrie(one of a sweet tooth #4 line) that i smoked and it was really fricken potent.

Ohyeah, Pound Cake is also herm prone but this is way more of a taste preference over potency

It’s a matter of degree. I currently have one that nanners a little but they’re sterile and it’s really very nice.
It’s got a lot of weird genes in it so it’s not really a surprise.

Bubba Came from a Herm,Story was that Berger Had a grow in his garage and one in his house some in the garage hermd and the pollen went into his air duct and pollenated the indoor Berger popped those seeds and Bubba Kush was born.Girl scout Cookies another fun herm fact,Berners crew was selling weed on the side at that Dispensary They had a grow going on they had light leaks and hermed a whole room of Cherry Pie seeded the whole thing crew pops seeds GSC is born They named the Batch Girl Scout Cookies and put it up on the chaulk board after the Girl Scouts outside the dispensary sellling Cookies

What I have read about the plants that they are the strongest. I have never tested the theory.

You mean herm prone cultivars being stronger than non herm prone types? --i could see that having validity 
potency is a stress response and often times so is hermaphroditism

Seems like a PITA. I’m happy to not have that problem.
The GMO herms and it is some of the foulest, most knock out bud ove ever grown. People drool over it.

That version of the GSC story changes a little every time I hear it. Not saying you’re getting it wrong, I don’t know how it goes, but I’ve heard several versions of it over the years with varying details. I’ve also heard at least four versions of how it got its name. 
There may be morsels of truth in what you say, but I believe potency is more often lost to stressors. The plant that is the happiest and able to live the longest and complete its lifecycle, while having the genetic makeup capable of being potent, will be the most potent. In my opinion…

I dont know what to believe unless inwas right in that room when those plants get knocked up.I take it with a grain of salt.

Shoe tells a version hat feels most credible to me, but once multiple versions of a truth have been accepted and then retold, it becomes murky.
Go watch Jigga try and tell people what cookies is the story had changed at least 3 times this F1 Durb i want to see for myself
