HGNW Medical Strains Preservations: Dr. Who, Sonic Screwdriver, Tardis, Quantum Kush

Dropping the Quantum Kush beans in water today and I’ll probably put them in pro mix tomorrow morning.

Got the 4x4 setup and rolling might pop some TGA original stuff for fun soon too.

Happy growing

Nice!

Not sure if I ever checked, but did the Dr Who arrive safely?

Ok, flower day 1 is tomorrow on the Sonic Screwdriver. I have a feeling I am in for a stretch, they seem thick under but small-ish. for boys and girls

Holy smokes!

Raising my spirits to see your work with the Sonic Screwdriver, @BasementGardens!

It’s been a rough week for the Tardis. I lost one of the seedlings the day after I found it covered in aphids in the hydro garden. Decided to remove the hydro garden from the tent. As the one remaining seedlings grows, I popped my final two seeds. (Actually, I think I have another two somewhere, too.)

Hope to get the seedlings back on schedule this week. Crossing my fingers.

We can raise them even further, I can confirm 1 (busy) boy and 4 girls. Cheers!

How freaking perfect!!! :star_struck:

It looks like the final (?) two Tardis seeds are going to make it. That’s three in soil. Aphids are under control, and these seem to be developing fine. Will post pix when I remember to take them.

The hydro garden didn’t do so well I put it in the tent, so I scrapped it and put in some shelves that have way my veg space and created shelves with different light levels, so it’s suitable for sprouts. seedlings, clones, moms, and teens. It’s a much better environment for vegging.

It’s a no go on the Quantim Kush I gave them extra time but I’ve not seen anything try to break ground at all and the Dank Sinatra popped fine in the same conditions

Sad because Odie told me he doesn’t have more beans of the Quantum Kush but onward to Dr Who…

Much love for trying brother! Sometimes that’s all we can do. But it is a sign that we gotta pop these oldies if we can!

Hi everyone, the single Sonic Screwdriver boy has done his job, so he is dead now. 4 girls. I also put some pollen on a stoner berry (strawberry cough x blueberry from 3thirteen) because I had a girl at the right age.

I did two applications 2 days apart, it is clear the pollen has taken. Barring something weird, there will be a lot of seeds here.

Great job brotha @BasementGardens

Love these strains. Grew a few out 6 or so years ago. The Tardis was my favorite. Have one nug pic left of it.

Half way done-ish here at about 5 weeks of flower for the Sonic screwdriver.

Overall I was not expecting such nice plants, they are beautiful structurally, might make a good Dad. They are all pretty darn heavy on the flower despite a very heavy pollination. All 4 girls are similar, but different.

Girl 4 is my clear winner as she brings the fruit terps the others don’t.

Cheers

@BasementGardens !!

Wow brother!! Bam!! There it is! I blinked for a few weeks there, taking care of life, and look what we have here!!

I am so pleased! You the man!

For my part, my three Tardis should go to flower soon, but I’m contemplating taking cuts and seed testing first, so nothing wonky happens.

Here they are a few days ago:

I’m not the worlds greatest grower, but if we have a boy and a girl, it looks like we’ll have seeds

Take care

The Tardis plants have grown quite a bit since going into 1 gallon pots on the day of the last picture.

Today, in going to cut top clones. I’ll give them a few days, and then it’s time to flip the main plants. In the event that they are all girls, I can go again in a couple months with the clones, and I’ll reverse one to make feminized beans.

Alternatively, I could have them sex tested and move straight to feminized if I have to, but I’m going to gamble that I have a male and a female.

Really want to get moving with this, so I can do a large pollination this fall in my tent.

@DietPeps - closing this out here over the course of the week. Plants are headed to 9 weeks and have stopped putting out new hairs. I cut a lower off and the seeds look good and have passed a pop test too.

Going to start the process of chopping and hanging now, with seeds I let them dry a good while, but it won’t be long before I can share them back to you.

I will keep them separate - one group of beans will be a “selected F2” (the one I want to work with) and the other will just be a seed increase F2, which will have equal amount of beans from each of the 4 mothers.

My general findings: I was happy as can be to get 1 boy and 4 girls, the boy was nice. I feel these could be a good male in a cross.

They all took a ton of pollen and made many thousands of seeds, and none ever showed any indication of male parts.

These seem to be massive yielding plants, I can tell even with the heavy seed load. Great frames, not picky, never had an issue.

Girl 1 and 2: can’t really tell the difference between them. Stinky weed smell, maybe some mint/ menthol. Nothing of great interest on the terps. Heaviest yield, good frost.

Girl 3: same terps as above, not terribly notable but very frosty, also had coolest fan leaves.

Girl 4: My selected cut, strong blue Hawaiian Punch terps on this one. Lower yield, finishes notably faster than the others. Chosen only because it stood out with that nice terp profile - none of the others were fruity.

Cheers!

Bravo  :raised_hands: @BasementGardens

Absolutely outstanding!! This run really looks like it went well from start to finish. You set the bar pretty high, but from the get-go I knew that you’d do better than me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I can see Sonic Screwdriver starting to pop up again, kind of like Mothers Milk.

I can wait to start flowering mine! (Hope we’re not expecting thousands of Tardis seeds though :joy: I am not the grower @BasementGardens is……)

Took top clones of each Tardis yesterday. Now I’ll feel much better about flowering. I’m probably one week, the seeded Sour D will be ready to come out, and the Tardis will start flowing by ghetto light dep. (They come out of the tent into the dark garage over night.)

When I cut them, the #1 had a string fuel/berry scent. Very nice. #2 is the one that I lost to aphids as a seedling. #3 had a real basic smell, and #4 was like a muted version of #1.

It’s hard for me to tell the sex at this point, but if I had to say, they all look female to me. That’s a good sign because I just can’t be right on three out of three.

Flawlessly! I am surprised how the planets aligned

One of the 4 girls is still piling it on, the others are ready to be hung anytime I get to it. I have 3 Sonic Screwdriver F2s above soil already lol

Thank you again for the opportunity, will report back when I get moving on these!

:fire: hell yeah!! Those are some lively beans.

I’m hoping for some similar success with mine. They’ve been branching out quickly since topping them. Now that I’m getting a little bit of use back my left hand, I should start depping them any day now. I have clone back ups in case anything goes haywire. If this pollination goes as planned, the female clone will go in the room to get hit on my next pollination, which a big one. If I get all females, I’ll end up reversing one of the clones. If I get all males, well let’s Not think about that.
