High end parchment paper for rosin pressing

I press rosin single grams at a time, in puck form, directly onto normal parchment paper. Yields are good at >20%. It does bleed through a little. maybe 5-10% of the yield is on the other side of the paper. So, i figured i would buy some higher end parchment paper to see if we could fix this. The Rzam brand I picked up has a super thick coat and advertises it can be used multiple times. However, it bleeds though really bad…and the worst part is I can’t seem to collect from the non-slick side of the paper. At least with parchment, you could collect the pass though.

Anyway, maybe I am doing something wrong. Or, maybe you have an idea that can sort out things.

thanks

I buy the pre cut sheets, in packs of ten from the dollar store, I think the brand is Betty Crocker. I double wrap every press but almost never get any pass through or break down of the parchment.

I have a 12 ton with 4 x 7 plates, but no pressure gauge so I go by feel.

I use If You Care unbleached parchment baking sheets. One sheet, no bleeding, pretty easy to release, and most importantly, no PFAS.

Rosin evolution makes some good parchment.

I’d second this. Have used this brand in the past and didn’t have issues

This is great info, and im just looking at buying a press. So sounds like presure guage is good, and parchment that doesnt bleed through/easily collectible is good.

Good call on the no PFAS; I didn’t realize that garbage was in so many food packaging products.

I just tried using regular parchment, but with two sheets. that seems to sort out this problem. also, just yielded 27% on my sour ripper cut. so sour, and now so ripped.

I am returning the high end sheets.
