Most females are not xx. Most are actually xy, containing the herm gene somewhere, although can be stable. XX females are females which wont herm, even under heinous stress. XX (pure females) happen approximately in 1 in a 1000 females. They are what breeders looking to make fems look for. They employ chems (silver, gibberilic, etc) to reverse the xx female.
