Holy's Garden (Part 2)

Do you have a light leak in there? The plant appears stressed… it is bolting and throwing single-bladed leaves… it looks to be revegging?

I’m starting to consider this myself. I think 3/8 in lines would fix it.

I don’t have issues that often, but I’ve definitely had issues. My first run of Lemon G I blamed on roots clogging the auto water port, but when I harvested her, there was no such evidence. She was the only one to get clogged my first round.

Second round I had the whole system get clogged before the manifold, and I was on a long vacation. I came back and the only thing I noticed was that the main res was more full than I expected, but the plants looked fine except for being a little more yellow than I was expecting. It wasn’t until a day later I saw Sour Diesel wilting, then quickly realized the controller and ALL the pots were bone dry. I blew air through the main line and saw the clog forced out into the controller, dumped it, then all was well again.

So now, to be sure, I just give the pots a little push. It’s easy to tell if they’re empty or filled. I’m still saving countless hours of hand watering and am still very happy with these micro octos and auto feed setup. Both my flower tents are on it now. But switching to 3/8 in lines and ports is gonna have to happen so I don’t need to worry about my system having another stroke.

Nice driving btw, the SS only tinted what matter. gj

Nah the tent is in a dark hallway with no lights in it. Just maybe appears that way but it’s not revenging or anything, it’s all good, albeit a tad stressed

When did I do that? Haha. Which one is this? Is this the one from, like, six months ago? The one that was vegging kind of “horizontally”? I thought you flowered that one already.

I can’t keep up! haha…

Lol yeah the variegated one from months ago. Last thread actually!

I did try to flower her out once already but chopped super early due to herms on other plants and her just not doing well in the tiny pot. She’s doing great in this miniocto tho! She needs the big octo

Well that’s a bit discouraging  but definitely good to know. I already picked up everything to do the 3/8 inch OD lines so I may just try and switch over this weekend

I do love the ease of it though. And the plants are doing fantastic!

Ah, okay, that’s cool. I totally remember that plant, the way she was growing, everything… I really thought you’d already smoked that one haha, but I do remember the pics and the way she was growing all “out” instead of “up.” Or whatever haha. She looked intriguing for sure. I don’t remember the variegation, but I do remember the way her fans were growing, pretty unusual-looking. Or I’ve never grown a plant that did that, anyway haha.

What are you using for the multi-port manifold? I’m only seeing stuff in 1/4" and would like to avoid a bottle neck there.

Right? Such a pain to find stuff for this. I went with this kit for now

Might have to double up or look elsewhere tho to handle more pots. I don’t have that many to support.

That’s a decent kit. Thanks for posting. I’m thinking I’ll just use a bunch of those T fittings and make my own manifold, each outlet with a shut off valve, and just mount it flat to something.

Or, even more likely, is I won’t change a thing and just keep a better eye on things. I’ve become borderline negligent with this new system. It’s easy enough to just give the whole system a quick “blow job” every now and then should a clog occur.

BTW, I wanted you to see what my tent is like around 5 weeks flowering, all running on that low dose 1/2 tsp/gal Maxibloom mix I posted above. Clearly there are nutrient hogs like GG4 (back left corner) that are hungry, but I’m surprised to see how many of them are doing just fine. I decided to just let it roll and see how far they make it on this dosage. I’ll up the feed next round for sure. I’m happy to see lots of fat frosty flowers, and none of that foxtaily action I was getting using AN’s PH Perfect Trio.

GG4 – Sour D – Wedding Cake
MAC1 — Ice Cream Cake (Jet’s cut)
Illudium Q36 — Deathstar

What Hoss said!

I’ve been running heavier feed as I know I have some heavy feeders and I’ve been seeing if I can stave off the premature yellowing a bit. Only a couple plants complaining about it

What are you using to blow out the lines? Can of compressed air or you have an actual air compressor over there? Seems like that’d be good enough

My lungs! The clog will either be on the res side (main res to controller), or on the other side from the controller to each pot. I just disconnect the tubing and blow into it. Takes quite a bit of pressure on the manifold side, but I have woodwind player lungs.

Still running my experiment with the Lemon Wookiee’s. Currently feeding 1.5 gr of gypsum and 6.5 gr of Maxi at 38 days. She is drinking twice as much as the clone on my Jacks feed.

Plants look good! haha.

Are you not updating The Bank of Stank thread anymore? Kinda like Joker not updating his threads anymore, either? Haha.

Thanks broski! Yeah, I don’t know why but I’m just not in a thread updating mood lately. I like to make sure I’m actually documenting stuff I want to read back on and not just showing off (which is also fun now and then). Maybe its because there’s not much to report (octopots kick ass) and I’m growing a lot of the same cuts. I don’t know. I do get excited to show off the seed plants so there will be more coming eventually! It’s nice to know that someone even notices, though.
