I too have a deep seated love for the good ones but I’ll just cover the few that haunted me early on. The first would be Piranha, being entirely too young to watch a flick like that, it took damn near 2 weeks for mom to coax me into taking a bath again. #2 Would be Magic, starring a young Anthony Hopkins and a horrifying ventriliquist doll. Enough said! #3 Would be Monkey Shines, a lesser known George Romero classic.

I’m still doing Hellraiser marathon sometimes, with a big jar of NL5H aside ^^
Big fan of the lore, i advise to watch the original then the reboot first. Then restarting on the II and so on until your tolerance break (past the III, it become a bit the feminized weed of the license imho ^^)

Ya know MAGIC is one you don’t here much about, and I agree the ventriloquist Dummy in Magic gave me Nightmares after watching that as a kid. I had kind of forgotten about that one. Definitely one of the more criminally underrated Horror movies.

Huuuuuuge Japanese horror movie fan here. Im more into the extreme, underground stuff though. The guinea pig movies are some of my favorites.
Its not really horror, but the original Oldboy is one of the greatest masterpieces ever filmed.

I believe it was '90 when a friend convinced to ride along to Kansas City to watch a little known movie named Nightbreed. Not a well done movie but it introduced me to Clive Barker.

For anyone into asian horror. I highly recommend this movie. Its pretty long, but i really enjoyed it plus, its got the same actor from Oldboy that i mentioned above. Dude is a phenomenal actor

That was a great flick! What a wild ride. The ending is particularly fucked up. One of the best Korean horror films I’ve ever seen.

BTW, I’ve got a podcast that I do with my brother in law every Saturday night, where we watch and review primarily horror movies and metal albums. We have been on a Street Trash kick lately, and watched the original one last week, and the remake/reboot last night. We also review cult classic movies like Conan, Big Trouble in Little China, and The Terminator as well.

I know it’s some shameless self promotion, but if you’re into that sort of thing, check us out.
