House & Garden Top Shooter

Been using this product a couple of years but I’m only just discovering there’s conflicting information everywhere on how to use it;

The house & garden website, a bunch of websites and the back of the bottle says use 1mL/L for one week the last 3 wks flower then 2mL/L litre the last 2 weeks

The H&G feed chart app and a few other places online says 0.5mL/L followed by 1mL/L

So which is true?

In flower I use

HG Coco A+B
HG Roots Excelurator
HG Multizyme
HG Bud XL
HG Drip Clean
Mammoth P
Great White
Top Shooter

I see this conflicting info so often from companies. When I started using cultured solutions I found like 4 different recommendations. Glad to say it’s since been fixed and they offer a single source now but I’m finding this to be common place :man_facepalming:t2:

Start weak and read how your plants are responding. Go up and make sure they aren’t burning.

In the absence of clear instructions you’ll have to do it manually.

0.5 ml/L after the first month of 12/12, just one single time and in cutting the bud XL 48 hours before and after.

0.5ml/L (hazes/bitchy strains) to 1ml/L when the plant stop to join buds around the stems → until the trichomes are ripe.

2ml/L only for solid trees of “yielder” strains. It affect too much the final product if the strains isn’t in the podium of generous strains (over 600gr/sqm). Start at 1ml/L, wait the begin of the “double flowering effect” it generate and push at 2ml/L until ripe. At this rate, it dry a lot the buds during the process. Slow drying is strategic.

Mammoth P : take care, Top Shooter is polarized K. They can fight if used together and to lower action of the both respectively.

To be honest, I think Mammoth P and Top Shooter have actually worked well together in the past. The last run I did without Mammoth p (too broke to afford it) and I think the quality was slightly reduced. I could be wrong, there’s so many variables in my grow particularly revolving around what time of year it is, I really struggle keeping heat down in summer.

Edit: I’ve also moved to only using roots excelurator in veg and for the first reservoir after transplant. It’s too expensive to use through the whole grow and I don’t see much point once the plants are established.

I’ve stopped using multizyme too.

So you was enough careful to don’t torch the buds with it ^^

With the PK of H&G or the one of Canna it’s a bit stressful to drive with the TS. It’s when i’ve discovered the PK of Aptus, because the Top Shooter. Both work together heavenly.

I agree with multizyme, tested only one round and never used again.

Root excellurator … my god it’s like religious for me. I’ve never found something similar. The less disapointing replacement i’ve found over a ton of failures is the Rootbastic. You get the same thickness of the roots, well plushy, but not that dense. I’m actually using it, but i get a bottle of RE when finished ^^

RE i use it second week of veg’ only and during all the stretch (and for cloning/motherplant renewal).

This run I have only used coco AB, budxl and Top Shooter with myco. Probably one of the healthiest runs I’ve had. Only using 1mL/L of the TS this time and plants are all very healthy. Seems to be pH will be the thing that gives the most problems. I keep mine around 5.8-6.0

I’m in your grow log in same time, i’ve to spam the likes ^^
Nice green hand man, it’s not only rare to see this line used. But well used it’s even more rare.

I’ve stopped to reload in Top Shooter a while ago, not that i don’t like the product but it have lured me hardly a couple of times on yield stats for selections.

The type of boosters they are, respectively. Let find you some intels :

This one is something like the EU-equivalent. It’s not only a P booster (this one but the Mammoth too). It’s really an activator of the soil with zyms and all, with a certain balance.

The top shooter is a P20/K9 ^^ (polarized to mobilise all the sap and shit, the plant is drying a lot when you apply this). The TS alone is already hardcore if you want, at plain dose the plants are already well stuffed in P.

This paper is interresting on the mammoth, they even made a Jacks (20-20-20) VS Mammoth its cool.
