Houston We got a problem

Outdoor Michigan grower here, All had been growing well here and still is except this problem child, Thought it was Magnesium deficiency applied epson salts but its not getting better. Plant has about 3 branches like this. Others about 3 meters away look fine. Haven’t seen anything like this before here.

Anything going on down at the stems? Are those three branches all separate or coming off the one main?

If it’s only a few branches, it can’t be a deficiency, and unlikely to be a pest so maybe have a look for any collar rot issues or fungus on the lower stems. Whenever I lose a single branch it’s normally something like this.

Hey there @farm33 .
If you don’t mind, give a little info on the plant and maybe we can see what can be done. the type, age (in weeks or days), feeding info and schedule and maybe a full images if ones exists would be helpful.

This plant is growing in compost amended soil outside. She is about 8 ft tall and about the same wide, a real beauty. I put a top dress on it when I seen some leave looking hungry. This problem started before the top dress. They were sprayed with sulfur every other week before flowering started. Thought maybe russet mites but dont think cause the sulfur takes care of them Just scratching my head. Here are some more pics, Thanks for the help

A soil-borne fungus is one of the most common causes of yellowing on isolated branches because it attacks the plant’s vascular system, preventing water and nutrients from reaching the affected area.

You’ve looked under the skirt at the stalk and base of the plant if possible? Look for things like:

it is looking real nice, except for the yellowing, almost like it has been watered way-too-much. unless you have been just covered in clouds and rain for a couple of weeks, I still don’t see it. sorry, that’s all I can come up with other than what has been shown or the plant is starting to hit its fall turn point?

You could try a leaf nutrient spray to see if that helps them bounce back. If they do, I would look into the soil for issues

Edit, actually I don’t know if that’s safe in flower

pics of the base and an older leaf but the damage is on new leaves. probably 2 separate issues
