How cold can your dwc get?

I know that weed does best at 68-75f. Seems like 45 below causes damage.

But how cold can you really let a dwc setup go to? Would 50 at night and 70 during the day be okay?

In a hydroponic setup, the nutrient solution temperature should be kept between 66°F and 77°F (19°C–25°C). A lower temperature of 60°F (15.5°C) can also be used to increase dissolved oxygen, which helps compensate for a warmer grow-room environmenT

You talking about leaf zone or root zone? Im a little high right now haha!?

Both lol. Probably should have clarified. Air temps drop down to 50. I think my tank was around 55-60. It was 63 in the morning

My understanding is at 75 you get fast root growth but are entering the danger zone for root rot. 65 and below you get slower growth but safer oxygen levels

they make aquarium heaters that might be appropriate for your reservoir. food for thought!

LIGHTS OFF TEMPERATURE:
Vegetative Stage: 65–75°F (18–24°C). Keeping nighttime temperatures slightly cooler than daytime encourages faster, more vigorous growth.

Flowering Stage: 60–70°F (15–21°C). Lowering the temperature in the final weeks can promote resin production and bring out vibrant colors in certain strains.

LIGHTS ON TEMPERATURE:
The highest safe temperature is generally considered to be

85°F (30°C) during the vegetative stage and slightly cooler during flowering.

nutrient solution:

Ideal Range: The nutrient solution temperature should consistently stay between 63–68°F (17–20°C).

Below 60°F (15°C): Roots struggle to absorb nutrients and oxygen, slowing metabolism and increasing the risk of diseases like root rot.

Lowest Viable Temperature: A root zone temperature below 55°F (13°C) is considered damaging and will stunt growth.

Edit: leaf zone temps can be forgiving if youre running an oscillating fan, and remember that temperature probes on thermometers can soak light up and appear to be ten degrees warmer than the actual leaf zone heat rises so make sure your temp probe is ABOVE the light.
