We can see certain expressions in plants because their life cycle is so much sorter in comparison.
Once you buy enough seeds that fail you start making your own, like any good human then you gotta screw with it.
The hairs will retract.
Come on bill nye we’re talking about real word applications with what i assume are relative new growers no need to get them confused. Why not just jump to combining tissue culture’s it’s a lot faster and yeild more results than picking micro expressions.

Lmfao. Alright alright.
@StaffSergeantMack skiball is absolutely right. It’s effectively impossible to know your gene pool well enough that you could discern specific changes like that. But I encourage you to turn a plant into a true breeding strain and test across a large group whether later harvesting effects the offspring in any meaningful way. If you undertake the task, it will quite literally be your life’s work. Lol
Beautifully said
This is also why women later in life should rethink having children. recessive expressions pop up in offspring.
With my dogs I would stop breeding the female at around 4 yrs. Smaller litters, more runts after that.
Puppy mills run em till their teeth fall out.
Dude, I dream of being able to just map the genes of all of my strains, then start a thousand seeds at a time and check which ones have the traits I want while they’re all still in veg!
In drooling just thinking of how quickly new strains can be produced and homogenized! Lmfao
Hell just prove exactly what traits are dominant and receive. That would be a giant leap forward for the mj community. I’m surprised that info isn’t already available.
This is how Farms develop, over generations. Got to start somewhere to leave a legacy.
The one thing I have read and have experienced in life as you probably have is the state of health of the parents can effect progeny
A healhy mother may well pass on better genes than an ill mother
likewise when working with farm animals
you dont breed from old animals as they can pass different genes compared to when they are young
an old bulls calves might not be as healthy or suffer more deaths in the first 24hours
I have seen dog breeders say a bitch should never have more than 7 litters in a lifetime
its probably just natures way of ensuring survival in different situations.
ie if the mother is not healthy maybe her genes are less adapted to the environment than they could be so try another combo kind of thing. (thats just a theory of mine based on darwinism)
If that’s an analogy it’s a bad one. Brown hair is dominant, that’s why there’s more people with brown hair.
The original question… in case everyone forgot.
Since I already answered that question I’d like to now ask a question.
How would you know unless you grew out 100’s of the progeny and done extensive testing to determine a baseline before you do fertilization timing tests?
you dont it would take as long as you imagine
In a round about way Worcestershire made that point i’d say.

Good point, also the best option is to know both strains parent stock as far back as possible to study those traits as well.

A short video explaining how I select male plants for breeding
First I have seen of this guy and I like him already
can see why you guys rate him
a grower told me that:
…would plant 100,000 seeds at a time to make a selection.
ayayay…
I was looking at the FAQ to get an idea of how long the seeds would take to be ready and I stumbled across the male selection thread and it said to check the males for crystal production
I cant see anymore so i took some pics
there is obviously some stalks there but not many formed heads
Do you guys think this is a good male?
