How do you get chitosan kelp etc. into your plants?

Currently growing in soil and I’m reading that chitosan is the real deal for getting flavor and terpene production, and that kelp and alfalfa are also good. I’m planning to start flower in a few weeks and I want to have whatever I’ll use before then.

Do you use any of these? Roots or foliar? Amounts? Do you get it from a product or do you buy the straight powder?

About two years ago whenever i went to the beach i’d grab seaweed and bag it up in a trash bag. I then composted it and amended my soil with it and used that in my garden. It works great. It was sticky for a while but once it composted then it smelt fine.

I’m in hydro/coco mainly so,
Hyshield is what I usually use for chitosan, mainly in veg and early flower.

Floralicious Bloom for kelp in mid-late flower :man_shrugging:

@seven_islands I already use MiiM and got a sample of ChitoSal and it’s good stuff!

Also look into ammending with Insect Frass which is also rich in chitosan.
