How do you like your grind?

good morning OG as i was sipping my coffee and toking my doobie i decided too change grinder for my cone loading session

i usualy use a coffee mill grinder to grind my weed for loading cones for efficiency purposes but lately i find they are hard to pull
they get too tight
so i decided to use my electric but more convetional type herb grinder
to obtain a more coarse grind then the fine grind i get from the coffee mill

im asking this question as i notice the same flower taste differently grind dependant

i havent yet experienced enough to test and see wich i prefer but i felt it could be a good discussion to start my morning on

I just roll joints, so my scissors are what I use to prepare my buds with myself.
Grinders, to me, are wasteful, as all the teeth keep a portion of your gear.
Just my way.

Its not so bad. This collection was almost all keif.As for the grade of grind i dont grind it as much i just pulse the grinder like two times and leave the mix a touch more coarse to get nice pulls on cones

A very well used Hand grinder for me. Lol.
Haven’t found another one with the pointed teeth like this one. Let’s me find the odd stray seed too before I shred it.
I don’t worry bout the lil bit of keif loss.

Mostly I smoke joints and can usually get a pretty decent grind for a twist session .
They always seem to pull good till the end. :+1:

The plastic Grinders from Storz and Bickel (Volcano people) have those nice spikes, just wish they were steel.

yeah they all are plastic now to find a metal one is hard

My preference is a large traditional metal grinder by hand and always let the flower dry out for about 24 hours or so before breaking it down which really helps in the burning process

If they are metal , the teeth are more oblong , diamond shaped and I don’t get near the same grind from them.

I used to use a Santa Cruz Shredder because it had a design that always made the bud fluffy when cut. I had to part with it but I was thinking of buying another because it was so good.

We have been using a coffee grinder recently. I grow and my husband grinds. He’s been absolutely atomizing it recently. It’s great for the dry herb vape, but sticks to my fingers and gets everywhere.

Id like to look into the Santa Cruz shredder!

I’m cooking a lot ^^, it’s helping. And the same way when i’m cooking i just hate to treat my aromatic herbs this way (grinder). You know, mechanically “mashed”. I find the flavors less deep and less entertaining.

I use a “Flower Mill” grinder. Best grinder I’ve used. It’s stainless steel (no aluminum flakes) and it has no teeth to shred the bud. It works it like a flour mill. Plus it comes completely apart for easy cleaning.

Did I mention it comes apart for easy cleaning…

I used to do it with scissors, but since I was always working constantly, they started to leave scars on my thumb! lol
I found a Jyarz jar for sale in my city, and a few months later, I was very lucky to find the original screw-on grinder that replaces the jar’s lid!
I’ve been loving it, does a great job as a grinder and jar!
