How do you like your Pizza?

As the title states, how do you like it? I will go first.

My 2 favorites and must be brick oven:

1.) Pepperoni & Mushroom.
2.) Pineapple, Bacon, Mushroom.

What does the OG community eat? Maybe I will learn a new combo of toppings.

Yeah. see I would argue that it’s only after a pepper opens up your sinuses a bit that you even get a real taste of pepperoni

Not some peasant mid lightweight unworkable blah taste

So for a man who truly likes pepperoni, yeah, the path is there…

So many types I love. I’ll go with a pie with some infused EVOO brushed on as sauce, sautéed onions and mushrooms in butter and garlic, seasoned ricotta cheese, artichoke hearts, sliced tomatoes or cherry tomatoes halved, black olives, mozzarella, non smoked provolone, cheddar, parmigiano reggiano, garlic powder or garlic salt, fresh basil, oregano, chili pepper flakes. Light on the toppings. EVOO infused with garlic and seasonings, not weed. Haha You can get the onions toward caramelized.

I’m a fan of eggplant on pizza (the kind they use for eggplant parm).

I’m pretty partial to New Haven apizza. The eggplant pizza at Modern is on-point (cherry pepper is good too). Not a fan of greek style pizza but I will eat it.

True story: if you sign up for the Frank Pepe’s app it never leaves you alone again, ever.

Maybe useful for foreveralones

What made you quit meat? My wife did 7 years ago, I tried but failed, been wanting to start a no meat diet again but last time I never felt full at times.

IMO Frank Pepe’s (the one on Wooster) when they do it right, is the GOAT, but I’ve had a few less than perfect pies from them. Still haven’t made it to Zuppardi’s, I know some people swear by them though I suspect it’s people who can’t quite decide between NH and NY style and settle for something in between - just judging from photos.

Eggplant sounds amazing on a pizza. Maybe I can find a place nearby that offers it as a topping.

I was an animal rights/vegan type when I was younger, you know, gung ho young college days. A few years back I decided I was sick of eating my friends again. I just don’t think there’s any use for it these days. So I quit.

Hopefully it works for her, but I think vegetarianism can be tough for women of menstruating age… really hard to get enough iron on a plant based diet.

I haven’t intentionally eaten meat since 1997 (every once in a long while some restaurant slips me some meat in a form where you can’t see it till you’ve already eaten some).

I won’t lie, I felt way better when I quit meat for a few months even performance wise with Crossfit but I still had that emptiness that a steak offered. I think this time I can mentally prepare to get past that curve.

The last time I was at Pepe’s I couldn’t stand the people inside so I ate my pizza in my car like a fucking animal. It was awesome. Their pizza rules.

Okay, New Haven vs. NYC? Oh god. I’m gonna have to say NYC but I won’t die on that hill…I wouldn’t even burrow down in a bunker on that hill. I love all pizza, so whatever.

She is good. Past that part due to hysterectomy. I think she only has to take a B12 supplement.

I don’t think there’s any need to choose. I love any good pizza, and some mediocre pizza, and will eat crappy pizza.
