Meh. Not something I’d even worry about. Sure, it’s all white label stuff from Spain.
But, there’s so many folks on here doing serious (and not serious) breeding work. Plus all the speciality niche corners of our community keeping old school and landrace strains going. I don’t foresee anything like a “takeover” of our growing world.
If anything, OG is like a seed vault encyclopedia keeping things moving in a positive direction for everyone, everywhere.

I also think that there is a lot of shit in EU (i’m from EU) but like in the United States

I agree, places like OG are an oasis of great genetics. Its the rookie growers coming in and possibly getting turned off to growing by getting these crap white label seeds since they dont understand the differences that worries me. I don’t think us OG seed nerds are a big part of the seed market. Sadly.
But after reading the article, holy crap its poorly written and full of laughable falsehoods.

This sounds more like corporate ass-kissing than anything resembling reality. Innovations in seed production are making F1s and feminized seeds? I cant believe this made it past the editors.

These aren’t breeders, more retailers, Corporations or big criminal organizations ( dinafem aka silent seeds, LA morta, hso bust).
These retailers/breeders/pollen Chucker have an excellent marketing (And that is often lacking in the right breeders) besides that only so it’s possible to provide enough seeds under European laws.
So there are enough European breeders who do breeding or at least pollen chucking on an smaller scale ( csi and everyone selling only there f1 is doing the same).
But there are
Karma, hybrids from hell, santero, underground collective, Mr nice, annibale seeds and so much good smaller breeders .
I personally think its more about Large companies that dominate the large amateur sector through marketing and price.
But that doesn’t automatically mean that It has to be bad, tools from the supermarket are often frighteningly good for the price and availability.

The difference I see is pr budget of big companies versus small breeders. ILGM is a prime example of slick marketing and it sucks in tons of newbie growers. And honestly most of them are happy with what they get.
OG is a collection of weed nerds that care about this way more than the average consumer.

They don’t even need much marketing. There will always be new growers who google “best seeds” and then buy from some bullshit. Eventually, they may find their way here.

When I went back they had no h h so I went for Mexican haze and it wasn’t as nice , not even close

At the time I asked about Hawaiian haze to bud tender askin if seeds and he said no , he said it was clone held tight by group in south Holland , no chance he said
