How good is this Hydroponics Guide?

I’m a new grower and trying hydroponics for my first grow. I found this “cheat sheet” off a youtube video from How Weed Grow at Home – Indoor Cannabis Tutorials and have been using it to grow my first few plants. I’ve compared it to other guides and it kind of seems like the ppm and ppfd recommendations are little bit low, but again I’m no expert. How good is the guide?

@NoCal is right. Those inputs are way too high for a gallon of water. You can always check the recommended dosage on the packaging on the official sites usually.

I would advise checking the GrowWeedEasy website, I’m certain they’ll have a hydroponics feed schedule to follow :+1::+1:

Sorry I probably should’ve specified that the nutrient measurements are too mix in a gallon of distilled water, separate from the hydroponic reservoir. You then dose the proper amount of nutrients into the basin according to the ppm guide/tds meter.

That makes sense

Still not really a fan of the guide, especially for a first time grower… its way too rigid & you can simplify that nutrient recipe a lot to keep it simple.

FWIW, I find “How Weed Grow At Home” to be a good and entertaining channel, decently informative but in my opinion not great for beginners :man_shrugging:

I feel like his approach and a lot of what he focuses on, is in the intermediate & above range. I still watch them on YouTube but yeah, I wouldn’t follow them as a newbie

It is a good idea to use the fertilizer manufacturer’s fertilizer guide, with your own adjustments.
I use this one as a guide, and the measurements are very well stated. Fertilizer Chart Hydro; Soft Water - BIG PLANT SCIENCE with their fertilizer.

With soil the EC should be higher. It should be low in hydro, and even lower if you use RO water.

Im with @RookieBuds
