How long to trim 1lb

Roughly how long does it take you take you to trim a lb on average?

I can’t see anywhere relevant to trimming if basic info isn’t the right place please shift the post accordingly.

Takes us 2 hours that’s 2 people with pro trim elite electric scissors.
Best scissors ever its a shame they don’t make them anymore.

Depends on a LOT of factors.

  • leaf to calyx ratio
  • plant structure
  • pruning / training done

If you were to say… flip a photoperiod at 5-6 weeks from seed, FIM the top, bend the girl over 90 degrees and stuffed under a scrog net, shed literally branch-fill your whole tent with large quantities of smaller “tops”. Trimming that is a complete bitch, i.e. “the longest it could be”.

If you were to say… take a clone of that same plant, top at 5th node, clean the 10 branches up to the youngest flower at day F20-30, and just grow fists, well that’s the complete opposite, it’s like waxing a supercar, i.e. “:the easiest/quickest it could be”.

In each case I assume the final dry weight was 1 lb. In that case you’d veg the 10 branch girl longer than the FIM flower spill tent.

Just throw on a series of films or a tv series in the background and embrace the suck

12-14 episodes of trailer park boys, or roughly 5+ hrs… less than a lb for sure  #newb

I’ll get clear pics in daylight to let folks see it properly to judge it.

I’m not suggesting it’s the highest quality or anything but suddenly trimming isn’t hell…
Yeah i said it

1 hour 300g of the one in the picture
I done another plant earlier 50 mins 170+ i can’t remember the exact figure?

The last time I was trimming i ended up picking, bending and breaking with the tips of small pointy scissors (nail scissors)
Yesterday i started with with scissors then swapped them for a pick/stylus aka a skewer lol

I couldn’t believe the speed i got through it.

I timed myself with it, 1 min 12 sec.

Think about trying to guide scissors to lift flattened dried leafs edges compared to a point controlled like a pencil, after it’s under the leaf falls away.
