Just wondering how many plants you keep around . I always have a hard time tossing out plants so I stated grafting them all on to one, saves me space, but Im kinda putting all my eggs into one basket.
I’ve got 4 atm all off which I don’t have beans for any more so I keep them until they look tattered cut clones and replace until I need to fill the flower tent again
I try to keep one or two mothers on hand for a consistent medical stash, and to hybridize with the next pack of seeds I grow.
I try to stick to two mother plants or less and rotate frequently. My goal is to grow out and preserve my seed collection, so I should really just be growing from seed. But it’s hard to let go of something special when you find it.
Zero, all from seed
You have to give us a picture of Momkenstein
I have about 10 bonsai mothers right now.
I have way too many
a total of 25, oh well the more the merrier
all the best
ATM none but up to 11 before I had to shutdown
I don’t keep moms because I don’t have the space.
I do take a clone or two from plants just going into flower so I can keep the line going if I feel like it.
All the best
Too many with more always incoming hahah

Here’s the mom with 4 grafts on, she’s looking a little unhappy after a transplant. Got a few more to add on her soon.
the graft union
Pardon my ignorance but what does grafting do?
It attaches two plants together with the actual plant becoming a host for the cuts to tie into and use the systems of

Do you defoliate Chem D? Anything I need to know about her?
I havent had a chance to mess w her much yet.
If she has the variegation the word on the street is that slowly increasing cal-mag to like 5x recommended will make her nice and healthy green.
Yeah, I read that. Can be difficult to do in no till grow method. I’m getting the variegation for sure though. She is not super variegated now that she is in a 25 gallon pot…mostly the older leaves.
How long did it take you to become successful at grafting?
Worked the first time and haven’t had one fail yet, I’ve done it on trees in the past. Honestly it’s not hard to do.
