How do you clean out male pollen to ensure the next crosses won’t be cross contaminated I ask because I’ve found 4 seeds in this auto so far. So I’m guessing I didn’t clean well enough thanks. Just eager to properly preserve lineages ![]()

Water. Spray down the entire tent and wipe it down with a wet cloth or something.
Water, water, water. As already suggested.
Be sure to clean the tops of every surface… light, filters, vent tubing, top of your tent, surrounding areas… both inside and outside of your tent. That stuff can float around and contaminate every room of your whole house. I always run a hepa filter, and a UV germicidal unit, 24/7 when I have males flowering
You want a cheap mister that you can set to ‘fog’.
Keep an eye out for cracks and crevices that might collect and hide pollen.
Cheers

Putting pollinated plants back into the veg tent after pollination will help avoid spreading pollen.
My whole tent is caked in old pollen.
How long will pollen stay viable in a tent if i miss a spot? No way i can eliminate all from the basement.
I had pollen in the tent in April, cleaned and i want to do a seedless run starting November. The tent sits empty until then.
After a month I’d consider any lingering pollen in your grow space unviable, and that’s me being on the safe side.
If anything, it should peter out naturally while your new plants are in veg if you’re starting from scratch immediately after a pollination event.
i just burn everything to the ground and move after each run. safety first!
Personally, I use a mix of water and bleach. I then spray down everything and then wipe. This includes the room my tents are in. May be overkill but it works for me.
that is what i do. i wear a mask. if it’ll keep corona at bay then it will block bleach smell. haha
Thanks y’all for the tips and insight. I will deep clean further the tent equipment and around it. I don’t use ventilation when keeping a boy. To be safe. Got rid of the boy after week 2 on the girls. Sprayed everything down the plants also. And saved some. Well that was in December I believe.
