How to reuse perlite?

running straight perlite hempy.
recently there has been a shortage in perlite. especially #3. the other stuff is powder or packing peanuts size.
All the grow shops are out and the order I made online over a month ago was just canceled by the distributor.

I am finishing up a cycle and I’ve been shaking off the root balls and storing it.
What is the best way to clean it up for the next use? Maybe bake it at 500f for an hour or something?

Sorry to hear about the perlite shortage, that’s a bummer. As for cleaning it up for reuse, baking it at high temperatures like 500°F could be an option, but be careful not to burn it!

I use my ozone machine, throw a tarp over the pile, weigh it down here and there, poke the business end of the machine under the tarp and run it an hour or 2.
