Howard's Hunt for Headstash

Off with their heads!!!..:metal::sunglasses:

That’s basically what I’ve been doing, though. I use my fingers instead of pliers, but I squeeze the living crap out of the stems before I bend them over, mostly because it helps keep the stem from straight up snapping when I put a really sharp angle on the bend.

All of the stems are hollow, so it’s easy enough to do with my fingers, and I prefer the sensitivity of doing it that way over using pliers. They’ll develop a gnarly knot there, but it doesn’t seem to harm them much.

That’s usually enough to slow them down, but this time they’re just not slowing down enough lol :grinning:

It also causes them to bush out below the bend, so I have about a million freaking small branches going right now.

I have a honking huge headache today, and absolutely no patience to speak of, so I’ve decided that I’ll tie down or weigh down any tops that are easy to get to and work with, but the rest have just gotta go. I suspect that no small number of tops are getting chopped.

What a damned shame… Now that they are away from the filters and I can get a proper sniff, I am struck by how much better they smell this time compared to every previous run. This little bucket of tops is going to be my aromatherapy today.

I may have to reveg these and give them another shot. I don’t know if I’m as ready to let go of these as I thought I was :slightly_frowning_face:

Crappy pic, but I got sticky fingers and an uncooperative phone, so…

My wife accidentally brushed her fingers on the cat after helping me, and now my cat smells amazing lol.

Okay, this is much better. Only went nine inches down. I sure hope this is enough!

Still plenty of bud sites left, I guess.

Damn that stuff in the bucket looks better than anything I can buy in my parts right now dry as mofo. I gotta crack some orange Goji and see what it’s all about.

I’m kind of bummed I couldn’t get in on those, they sound pretty great from the few grows I’ve seen so far. You should definitely do that, too

When’s the harvest party? I’ve got my own rolling papers, and don’t mind staying outside :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Orange Goji

Almost three weeks after the flip.

That tall branch is one of the tops I flopped before. It sprang back up after I chopped all of the other tops, lol.

Some shots just after the lights went out… About an hour early :slightly_frowning_face:

I don’t know if my timer is broken, never got reset after daylight savings, got bumped, or what. Got it set to the correct time now, so here’s hoping it stays that way!

No flash, this is just light from the overhead room lights, which are a couple of 13W 5000K screw in LED bulbs. Only the buds on the edge by the tent doors had enough light to get a shot, lol.

And one from after the lights got turned back on
