Howard's Hunt for Headstash

I also use Jack’s and start feeding full strength as soon as I take them out of paper towel. Funny that I thought I was the only one who did this.

Seriously considering doing a seed run in that cabinet, now that it’s empty.

One of the plants that died when the pump failed was a GG4 IRL, and even despite how sad it looked at the end there, it was seriously frosty. Easily as frosty as I’ve ever seen the original cut get at the same stage, and virtually indistinguishable once it got fully into flower.

It’s maybe not the best environment to do that seed run in, but I’m still tempted. I’m going to do it at some point no matter what, but I’m quite tempted to jump right in and just do it now. If the plants are as uniform as @Tonygreen had in mind (and from what I’ve seen, they are) then I should only need to run a few. And I don’t need ten thousand seeds, hehe.

Besides which, I promised @Guitarzan that I’d send him some seeds when I got around to those, and I probably shouldn’t make him wait a year, lol

Nice. I’d bet there are more of us out there, but it doesn’t seem to be a huge club

Been doing it that way for years, and I’ve never had a problem with doing it that way. I used to use a 1.2 E.C. strength for everything, but lately I’ve been mixing it up at 1.44 E.C. and even that doesn’t appear to be causing any issues.

I use this on my cloner, and I’ve never had a problem with it. It’ll go from 1-hourto 5 seconds.

All good things man. :vulcan_salute:

That’s why I like this one. It just has 2 knobs. Low tech baby. :grinning:

No schedules though, it’s strictly on for some time, off for some time. I guess I should’ve read the whole conversation.

I have been doing the same for over a year and have had no problems. I use Kokobop with the Jack’s and it works great.

More expensive but maybe you could find one of these digital these days.

Yup, I’m doin’ it. Got the cabinet cleaned out and the plumbing and rez scrubbed, tested that the reserve pump still works, and am ready for a reset.

Gonna be putting some of those GG4 IRL seeds in a paper towel as soon as I can clean those filthy walls and decide on one other strain to go in with them to catch a bit of that GG pollen also

I think this might be the short list… I think the Oregon Huckleberry is in the lead at the moment, as it’s the one I have the most seeds of and I’d usually prefer to run the more limited seeds by themselves.

Got the GG4 IRL and the Oregon Huckleberry in paper towels earlier. I’ll probably be able to drop them into coco within 24-48 hours.

Should be an interesting run :grinning:

Nice gg4 will be cool project. I was rubbing on my Bubba X Sweet Tooth this morning and she’s got a nice lemon smell to it. I wasn’t expecting that all the Bubba hybrids I’ve tried before were really fruity not lemon. Is that how Bubba is really supposed to taste wouldn’t think that would come from the Sweet Tooth side. I really like it by the way.

I just potted up 6 Mother’s Milk f2s this mourning really looking forward to those. I think those Pink Animal Crackers X Oregon Huckleberry might have some better flavors than just the OH by itself. Those are on the short list I need to get more RCB going my lone female is in the spidermites cabinet so that’s not good. Thinking about going back to salts growing this winter and trying the Jacks line up. Wouldn’t mind some excelerated veg growth seems like organics can take too long sometimes.

Had to come from the Sweet Tooth side, imo. I often get a lot of grapefruit smell with Sweet Tooth.

I’m not great with scents, but I’d always read that Bubba had a bit of coffee smell. First time I grew it, I was kind of disappointed it didn’t smell like coffee… Then one day as I was making a pot of coffee, I got a whiff of the coffee grounds and thought to myself “Damn, this coffee kinds smells like Bubba Kush!”

I love growing in organic soil, and kind of miss it to be honest, but coco just fits my needs and situation much better at the moment. And to be honest, I don’t really notice much of a difference in the end product. Organic growing really appeals to me on an emotional level, and I had some really lovely results that way, but I don’t feel I’m missing out on anything quantifiable now, so… And the growth with coco and Jack’s is pretty great, hehe.

I’ve been super curious about everything I’ve received from OG members, and can think of at least a dozen strains I want to run RIGHT NOW, lol. But I want to give them all the best possible shot, and that means a dedicated run. Since this run is more about the GG4, I chose the one that I’ve been wanting to run that I also had the most seeds of, and could still do a dedicated run with it later.

I’ll probably never get around to everything I have, but I sure wish I could, lol. Gonna try my best to get to as many as possible over time, cause they all are probably fire. There nothing I’ve grown out from OG so far that I am disappointed in, and most I want to grow again as soon as possible :grinning:

Looking great in here! I will be following along for the GG4 IRL, very curious to see how those turn out. Happy growing!

Welcome! I hope I can do them justice and not kill them this time :grinning:

That’s what I’m gonna be looking for that coffee smell when I get to them

In my opinion, and take this with a grain of smelling salts, it smells super nice but it doesn’t quite smell like coffee to me. It’s more like “yeah okay, I can definitely see why people say that though”. Kinda like the chocolate note I get from well grown and properly cured Glue, in that it’s more a “chocolatey” scent somewhere in that broader funk than actually just “chocolate”.

My sniffer isn’t great so I may be missing out, but I still really do love the way it smells and tastes.

I seriously considered running one of my Bubba hybrids to catch some GG4 IRL pollen, but decided that I wanted to stick with an OG-sourced strain.

Gonna have to save up as much of this pollen as possible, I guess

It’s been maybe twelve hours, seeds are already cracking :grinning:

GG4 IRL

Oregon Huckleberry

If I have the time and energy I’ll get them into coco this evening. Otherwise, sometime tomorrow. I don’t like to let the tap roots get long first, I just want to see that they’re viable.
