Howard's Hunt for Headstash

Well, I definitely shouldn’t have waited until today if I was trying to avoid long taproots before planting, as most of them had one inch tails already.

I was in such a hurry to get them planted that I took a video of the seeds instead of a photo because I forgot to switch the camera over and didn’t think about it until after :worried:

These will be hand watered at 600ppm/6.0pH until I see roots peeking out of the drain holes, then I’ll set up the flood and drain and start them at one flood every few days.

Ive got the PAC x RMH going right now, and in veg those plants are funky. I think those pink animal crackers brings a lot to the table.

I ran some of the oregon huckleberry during the 16 oz COVID challenge, didnt feel like I got the full picture of it bc of how stressed it was in that small pot. Gonna ride along on this one to see how you like it!

I’ve been quite curious about both, so I’m looking forward to seeing what there is to see.

With only five of the Oregon Huckleberry, I’m hoping for at least one female, but not more than three hopefully, as there won’t be room for more than that since I’m keeping all of the GG4 males.

I’m not worried about the GG4 IRL females as I expect them to be pretty uniform, but that’s not many OH females to choose from. It’ll have to do for this run, so hopefully I get a great one lol.

Every female that gets flowered out will get transplanted into 1/2 gallon containers before the flip, so hopefully they’ll stay healthy enough through the whole cycle. The males can stay in cups, I don’t need them to stay perfect for ten weeks

Well I only had the one OH so I cant tell you about variability but I thought it’s an IBL so hopefully not a lot of variability with a lot of greatness is what you get!

And great point about the males. Was just thinking about my room w the numbers I’ll have w this spirit train project. Youre right, so that will save me a fair amount of space!

Oh, good point. I’d still expect some variability, but perhaps less than I’d thought?

Good luck on your project as well, it sounds pretty interesting!

Two of those three “previously frozen” Zak Haze clones are still alive! If they root, I’m thinking about growing them out in the tent on the next run :grinning:

Pretty bummed the DP x JS, 3-A, Orange Goji, and RCB cuts didn’t survive the ordeal, though

The Oregon Huckleberry is very consistent and a hybrid with the gg4 would be very interesting. My 2 Oregon Huckleberry are at 6 weeks flower but I have been battling spidermites so yeah but she’s is thick as hell under the QB setup. Professor P from Dynasty told me that he thinks the OH and Bubba are from the same line. Getting a good root ball going is the hardest thing about this strain but I don’t think you will have that problem growing with the salts should be able to get a good amount of branches pretty fast. I would definitely try a OH X GG4 hybrid that could be interesting.

Here’s my 2 Bubba X Sweet Tooth I can definitely see where you would get grapefruit smelling really good but they are still pretty early in flower these were put out in the greenhouse kinda late like the beginning of August. She sure don’t look like bubba getting some crazy looking leaves on them and stayed very short. I want to try some of these outside next year they can handle a drier soil conditions than some of the things I have tried outdoors.

Hey I got a question for my records. Out of the last seeds you sent me there’s a Bubba X lsd420 or something like that that. Papalag or someone had some pics of it and it had that gorgeous maroon fade to it. Was that a Bubba X sour bubble hybrid just trying to keep track of what I have for future reference.

Wow, those are some pretty thin leaves! Were the seeds big and fat, or tiny? Now I’m wondering if something got mislabeled? Staying short wouldn’t be unusual, though.

I want to say they were pretty big I’d have to go digging through the fridge to look. They’re definitely thin leaves this would probably be a really good strain to run in my cabinet.

LD420 is short for LouDog420, a member on another forum who gave me the Casey Jones x Sour Bubble seeds that produced the father of Bubba x LD420. That father was a freaking beast, lol.

Huh. The ones I’ve grown out had honking fat leaves in veg and thinner leaves in flower, but never got that thin as far as I can recall. Might be the Grapefruit genetics coming through from the Sweet Tooth, maybe?

That’s even better than what I was thinking. Gonna have to get on those soon but I need to get more RCB going I still don’t have any blueberries to smoke on and that’s gotta change.

I like them so far really been easy to grow and pretty good with heat stress have you ever tried them outside ?

I have not, unfortunately. Outdoor growing isn’t really practical for me in my location, sadly.

Checked on the seeds this morning, and there are already three or four trying to break the surface.

These are some hardy seeds, y’all. :grinning:
