Been trying to teach my 6 year old how to grow plants indoor, in a homemade system. She said she wants to grow sunflowers lol
Anyone ever seen or tried this?

I’ve seen them grown indoors. I would go with dwarves though, like the 18 inch ones. Not sure you want the other 5 foot dwarves indoors. I got some good dwarf seeds from Park Seed. Beware the term dwarf in sunflowers, usually they mean 5 feet.
Kids love sunflowers and lucky for you they are the easiest to grow. She would probably like zinnias as well. Have fun!!

Should be good then! Thanks. We have some strawberries in soil too but hydroponics would be funner for a kid i would think.

No see they all grow to 5 feet. Grow some zinnias and tell your kid they are sunflowers lol
Strawberries have best yield the 2nd year as you are supposed to pick 1st year flowers off. Not really instant gratification. lol
