I broke the end of an auto seedling taproot

:grimacing:
It was a day overdue for planting and about inch and a quarter. Broke off the last quarter inch.
Should I pop a new one or ride it out
?

Start a new one. 99.9% chance it will stunt.

I’ve done that only I broke with about 3mm of root it was slow to start with but finished similar to the others.

I’d broken a tap before so I knew it had a chance although deep down I didn’t really expect it to grow.

Yes and yes buddy, shoot for those first world problems

I’m in a predicament where I want to make some seeds, but jars aren’t full enough, don’t be like me, plant another one everytime you get that feeling

Also, when you need something to smoke, you can chop the potentially stunted one while you wait for the one you are going to grow perfectly  to finish.

It’ll be like a canary, so you’ll know how much more time the other one needs.

And what if it wasn’t ever even going to skip a beat?

Did that do a fish hook and come back up?

Wheres that chart/paper thing about planting seeds pointy end up, because of gravity and the rounded heavy end of the seed statistically lands downwards in nature, and how the tap root comes out the side of the pointed top end statistically speaking, and naturally hooks back down?

I rarely see this mentioned for autos.

I don’t sift my soil, but I try to make sure there’s at least a rocks glass ammount of dirt in the center with no twigs bark or clumps when I start autos
