Hello growers! I’m new at growing cannabis and I’m facing a problem i don’t know how to solve. I’ve got several tips from experienced gardeners but nothing worked so far. It’s going on about 20 days now. I’m in coco fiber media with separated minerals using 1500 ec, 240w light with 650 ppm. They are on the 2nd week flowering but the picture was from the first week. I did several flushes since the problem started, scaled up and down the ppm but nothin seems to work. Scaled up and down Magnesium and Potassium. I’m using a ppm target as the print. Any tips?
They look ok except for a few leaves. I would rip off the ugly stuff so I can find out if it’s spreading and then make moves.
If it’s just a little no big deal.
It’s spreading. I keep removing the leafs but they are not responding to anything i do…
You may not like my answer, totally fine, but for being new to growing this plant you have done a fantastic job so far. Just let em be, keep doing what you’re doing, and try to be consistent with them, as in don’t constantly go up and down in PPMs, different elements, etc. They look overall very healthy and happy.
I agree that there is something going on which makes it eat or drop the lower leaves…might be due to being root bound? I don’t know, but honestly you are in good shape and imo it is not worth experimenting around at this point in flower. Stay the course and you should get some nice buds in a few weeks! Good luck!
Pay more attention to the new growth. Old bad growth wont magically change to new. If all the new progress is green and cool to the touch, no sweat. If you want to, you can just prune off the ugly, it tends to distract from new news.
What is your temperature and humidity, high temperatures such in summer requires lowering the EC , as the fast uptake of water and evaporation leaves behind salts.
Are you using powdered momo nutrients from a specific brand or is mix and match? What is your PH?
And What is your run off? , how often do you feed your plants? (I assume it is a drip irrigation or similar)
Your K and Ca are very high in that mix… what nutrients are those?
What units? 1.5mS? or do you mean 1500ppm?
I agree , it looks like it Had a problem thats been resolved. The growing tips look healthy and are praying. Some damage from dryback or one overfeed on those lower leaves at some past time. Keep going!
Temperature is around 25⁰C, humidity keeps on 60%. 750 ppm from solution. PH is 5.8. My salts are almost all from Haifa. My runoff tends to be around 50 or 100ppm above the inicial target. I never let the salt to concentrate much. They are getting 5 shots total during the light time with daily runoff. I couldn’t be able to match the runoff in the last shot on P3.
Sorry, it is 750ppm
Tks! I fact i loved the answer! It’s good to know I’m not that messy gardener. Lol
It’s 750ppm. I use separated salts. This target is one local recipe. I chose it because i thought it was deficiency of K and C. ![]()
rootbound probably ![]()
signs are there.
Curious what your actual mix is if you don’t mind sharing in g/L? I have a feeling that mix is way hotter than 1.5EC.
My 0.2 on the damage, it does looks like a lack of K getting to the leaves… but you can’t always fix it by slamming more potassium into your water.
I think you are way over with the potassium , an excess of it will block Ca and Mg , it might be resolved by now but if those plants aren’t in an advanced phase of flowering that amount is just toxic.
What is the reference? Great illustrations.
too much K. you need around 250ppm N, 80ppm P and 300-350ppm K
Should have added it, good call.
There it goes (g/L):
Calcium Nitrate (CaNO₃) 0.85
Potassium Sulfate (K₂SO₄) 0.90
Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO₄) 0.70
MKP (Monopotassium Phosphate, KH₂PO₄) 0.22
Micronutrients 0.05
PPMs:
N (NO₃⁻): ~140 ppm
P: ~55 ppm
K: ~460–470 ppm
Ca: ~260 ppm
Mg: ~65 ppm
S: ~200 ppm
I’m diluting until 750ppm
Damn you went full raw dog ![]()
Makes sense, that comes out to over 3.0EC. Seems unbalanced though, why not try to mimic masterblend/jacks or smiliar?
