This is the only grower forum I trust.
It is the only one that allows the use of Tor and VPN to protect yourself from hackers or otherwise nosy losers who wish to know your IP for whatever reason… Cataloging to trade to leo s comes to mind …ie throwing anyone under a bus to escape with their own misrable lives in the face of whatever imminent doom may come to whoever runs all these other sites.

Im too paranoid to not use proxies… There are geographic location apps out and an IP is easily obtainable from a web page or post to anyone who wishes to know anything about everyone else.
Your IP shows up with everything anyone posts.
All people need is log this into a geographic location app… And boom … rippers or worse.
They can stake people out with Google maps.

Maybe cut your cannabis usage down a little as it’s making you paranoid 
Jokes aside though most OG users are small personal growers that keep to the limits give or take a plant or two that they are allowed to grow legally in their region.
It wouldn’t really be in anyone’s interest to go through all of that hacking and locating via IP addresses to go out and rob 4 - 5 plants from one of our users.
Us UK growers should be even more paranoid because of the legal situation of cannabis growing.
OG has taken steps thats built in that removes sensitive data such as dates and IP addresses from photos uploaded to the site.
Like yourself OG is the only grow site that I use because of the steps taking to protect our users from prying eyes BUT it’s the members and friendships I’ve gained that keeps brining me back on a daily basis. 
Might think so and perhaps some of these are effective. On the subject of photos though. Dates persist in file names since windows uses the date to help uniquely name the images it saves. Unless you deliberately save the pic as another name it may still have that date info.
For sure … Maybe I’m a little paranoid.
It never hurt to be hyper aware of my surroundings.
Or paranoid.
Better than being ignerant.
IPs aren’t generally so localized. Mine is in a city over an hour away, so even if someone saw it it wouldn’t give them any indication as to where I live.
That said online security is always important! Better to be ‘paranoid’ than vulnerable.

Tor huh? I don’t surf the dark web but if I did, I would use Tor. Look into the og history a little. 15 years offline until recently. I think user security would be the highest priority on the site now.

I also love this site, but I am not paranoid at all, Google knows what I buy and search and offers me adds accordingly

I read and post here exclusively via Tor and I wouldn’t do so if I could not use it. Don’t care if people think that’s paranoid.
Paranoia and using VPN is what it is… makes some people feel comfortable so more power to you 
Where it starts to get touchy is when super foils start crying conspiracy on the site… Don’t be that paranoid and you’ll fit right in lol
