Ibegeekdup’s Adventure

The adventure is a year underway. Finally nice to have somewhere to dump my information. Wrapping up my third grow. Have decided to shoot my shot at making seeds. First grow went terrible. Thrips, epsom salt, coffee grounds, and a plant that took at beating. She still smoked. Knowing what I know now, I probably shouldn’t have smoked her. Second grow, I started to hammer some hiccups out. Pridelands nutrient, calmag, bud candy, and planet lost coast was added to the line. Second grow went smooth, found out calmag contains nitrogen. Switched soils between the second and third grow from fox farms to roots. Ran third grow in roots with Pridelands.

My father died March 16, 2025 unexpectedly to an aneurism.

He loved skunk and cheese. He loved me growing weed. He was growing plants with me; with me making his water and feeding the plants at his house. He wanted me to make him some seeds. Well upon his death the fire to pollen chuck has taken control and we are here now.

Fourth grow looking for help on this pollen chucking adventure since my dad isn’t here with me to do it. I’m sure there are some old heads/good old tokers on here with the experience willing to help a girl to successfully to do this.

I’ve got the STS, I have beans to play with. Will get a list posted to get some advice on who to make the father. The skunk and cheese will be on my fifth grow after I successfully make seeds this round.

Please drop knowledge, the mistakes you made so I don’t make them. Any leads on either of those beans back from when my pops was around. He was born in 60’. Stoner all the way through. If anyone knows what Thai sticks are I’d love to chat about that as well as my father spoke of that. Come follow my journey.

Sorry to hear about your father and I hope you find what you’re looking for.

From what I’ve seen on here I’m sure I’ll find the help I’m seeking. This seems like a way better community then where I was before.

Welcome to OG! I’m sorry for your loss, I can’t imagine.

I think you’re in the right place for having support moving forward on your project. There are some incredibly knowledgeable people here. I am not one of them, because I am still pretty new.

This thread has some really in-depth information about using STS and reversing, it may be a helpful read. Some folks came in and dropped really helpful tips.

Good luck, I’ll follow along!

I appreciate the time it took for you to link that to this and I look forward to reading it. Glad I’ve already got some people following about to post some updated photos from grow 1-3.

I did smoke Thai Stick back in the day. Even have a Chocolate Thai plant that tastes identical to what I smoked all those decades ago. Can send you a cut if you want to reverse that. Gotta say tho, she did terrible in my environment, am just keeping her for breeding. I run high VPD with hard deep drybacks which wig out some fussy OG plants. She went completely sideways, hated my world. Still, that taste is epic.

Holy hell that would be awesome. Can you dm me and we can discuss logistics and what not cause I’ve never done anything along those lines.

Grow number 3 still under way.

Pushing the one as long as I can cause my dry tent is currently sitting at 67f and 70h.

Nice and Grimm always produces solid genetics…how long did you veg her?

I didn’t keep up with the veg days on my second grow. And I fucked up and ran the lights at 16/8 instead of 18/6. So I had some hiccups.

That’s no big deal and I actually run my veg tent at 16/8 most of the time down south hot as hell. She turned out well…few ounces I’m guessing?

Easily over half a lb from all four plants. Only weighed the uber and got almost 5 oz from her alone.

Can you ship clones live? How much would that run. I am in VA.

I shipped two rooted clones and it cost about $15 if I remember right. If you’re willing and able to root some snips you can send them for just a stamp or two

So I’ve never rooted my own clones. I’m sure with some research and you guys I could make it happen.

It’s not too hard. I think if you have a heat mat and something to use as a humidity dome (I just use a gallon Ziploc bag if I’m only rooting one or two) you’ll be fine. A rooting powder or gel can help, but not necessary. If you have a plant in veg, you can always practice
