Ibegeekdup’s Adventure

I have a bubblegum cross going right now. There are 3 plants and they are a little over 3 weeks into flower. Two of the plants are cruising and one of them just started puttinf out pistils.

Update time spent a lot of time at the library today, sent out more emails to some local wolf places. Genetics labs to get better information on genetics between hybrids and dogs. Now for the plants.

4x4 is going well. Still no bud sites on the skunk #1. These girls got 5ml calmag today. Trucking along.

Godfather og x GDX girls are looking good day 28 and they are looking like that. Excited to see how these turn out.

Oh what have I done. Just one plant. Not sure if scared or actively still going. Got ripped off when installing CFM pole to keep the tent from sucking in so much.

Oh shit. Ive had that happen before. It keeps going. Never really got to the bottom of what it was. Looks like mag. I didnt have epsom at the time that happened to some of my plants, so i just let them suffer through it.

If it were mine I’d be thinking Phosphorus deficiency.
I don’t know shit though. Someone else might weight in.

I’m using pk boost which has a shit load of mag in it, and feeding calmag. I’m hoping it’s just scaring and I’m only seeing how nasty it was cause I don’t venture on the back side of my tent often. Looking like a gladiator scurrying under the canopy to hook up new lights and cars to hold it open. Only time will tell.

Where did you get that skunk #1? It looks like a sativa. Ive read that there is a sativa version of skunk #1. I wonder if she will have a 12-14 flower cycle :hushed:

So, outside of my regular bloom nutrients they are not getting any extra of that. Suggestion on how to boost that.

PK boost I’m currently using

@Farmers_Hat I got the skunk #1 from @Hashpants which came from another source. Pretty sure he tagged them above. Maybe @BRMTreefarmer, Skunk #1? I know it’s an indica leaning hybrid and says 65/35. Definitely looks very sativa to me. Does the 12-14 means run for 12-14 weeks?

Have you checked your runoff for PPM and pH? That is absolutely the first thing I do when I see a problem. Find out if the pH is too high and deficiencies are originating from that. If the pH in the runoff is fine that means it’s taking up nutrients okay. So then I check the PPM of the runoff. Is it higher than the PPM going in?..
It’s just the steps my mind takes figuring out a problem.

The ones I was passing out are more Sativa leaning and finish around 8-9 weeks.

Sweet. I got some of those beans from @BRMTreefarmer also. They look like great genetics for some of my projects.

Yes thats the one.

That bloom food is super concentrated. Im guessing lockout from too much food is causing the deficiency. Just a guess though. As Mobilly suggested, a runoff test is in order.

Yep. That’s the first things I checked before coming here. That’s an easy fix. Everything is going in and out at the right levels. So that brings me here to what is my plant lacking. That skunk is the only one with the issue as well.

@Hashpants @MoBilly They get the pk boost once a week. Someone messaged me in advance and warned me adjust my nutrients feed when I use the Pk boost, so I’ve been keeping an eye on the ppm. Ph went in at 6.4 came out at 6.3. For the plant in question, the ppm that went in was barely over 200 in the water the runoff ppm came in around 850. That’s solid for day 28 in you guys experience? Should I bump that up? They are due for another round of nutrients in 2/3 days. Could that be scarring from where they were lacking? Any suggestion on a solid phosphorus?

@BRMTreefarmer so they are on track for the way she is supposed to look. She’s got me a wee nervous.

If the run off has 4 times more food, it might be better to do water only once or twice until the runoff comes down a bit. If its overfed , it will present just like a deficiency. That bloom food is super concentrated.

The only thing that is added to my water is calmag which take it up to 200. They have had two doses of the Pk booster. This issue was present prior to the pk booster. I don’t add nutrients to my water every time. I top feed, so they only get fed 7-10 days. I would expect that since I’m not adding nutrients every time it would need to stay in range of 750-1000 with the nutrients being broken down over time. Am I wrong with that way of thinking? I still make individual gallons for my girls so I can play around with her gallon if need be.

Sounds good then, i was wondering how you were running such low ppm. Are you using cal-mag every time? Is there Calcium in your dry ingredients? Calcium is antagonistic to phosphorus and almost every other nutrient, too much will stop absorption of the others.

Okay so my ppm is on the lower side? Yeah I top feed. Lightly, I may say. I overfed one of my girls my second run. Ppm was in 3000 so I watch for that now. They get fed with tomorrows water which should boost it. Twice a week. When they get Pk booster I skip the calmag. I also won’t give the Pk booster on a feed day. I know I’ve read and been told that their are two P nutrients that they use heavy in bloom. How do you tell scarring on a leaf?

Too much of any one item is gonna cause lockout of other nutrients. What dry ingredient are you using. How do you know how much to add? Sounds like too much ,but im not an indoor grower.

It’s Pridelands. It comes premixed. It gives instruction to add 1 tablespoon per gallon. I go half of the recommendation on the bag.
