Just flipped lights to 12/12 at week 6 of Veg. Seven plants made it so far. Let’s see how many females we get…
Yup. 23 weeks 12 12 from birth for all plants. With a 6 week veg that should speed up flowering a bit. Good luck!
Use multiple transplants. I recommend Going to 2 gallon, then 3, then 5 once you see pinky nail size flowers. Every time you transplant you’ll see a quick growth spurt, and then growth will stall as the plant figures out its container size. After a week or two of limbo, up pot.
If you go straight into five gallon the plants will be seven plus feet tall. If you do the multiple transplants , you should be able to keep them to around four or five feet, maybe 5-6. Maybe more lol.
I was wondering where you been hiding

Update for the Jamaican lamb bread, they are in week 2 of flower and are about 3 feet tall.
There are some signs of gender starting to show
Only 18-22 more weeks to go. And the stems are starting to turn purple.
Update on Jamaican lamb bread: week 4 of flower and the gender reveal is 5 females and two male. They are all between 4-5 feet tall.
I’ll be moving three females to another location and uppotting them in the next couple days. The other two are going to have a mixer with the other two males.
You are a bean making machine!
Good luck on the rest of your long journey with these.
Thanks, I just got tired of paying people for seeds. For instance my Maui grow I gave away 1k of seeds. Yet I still have 3-4k still available. How can they charge so much for ten seeds when one plant makes thousands?
Agree.
Funny how long i was so set on making sure any harvest was completely seedless.
There are still brand name beans i covet but lots of what’s being shared so freely on OG is
.
I know right. I charge 1-5$ a seed depending on how much work ive put into them and i always give extras
Sweet selection, sitting down and watch your adventure ![]()
Starting week 5 of flower. I cropped the females because they were getting too tall for space. And yesterday the boys got the party started:
Good things come to those who wait (so long as they’re willing to put in the work while waiting).
I’ll be tagging along on this l-o-n-g journey, sending well wishes for continued good luck. That ratio of males to females seems ideal!
Aside from the recent topping, will you be doing any other low stress training along the way? How high are your ceilings? ![]()
I probably could have fit a good six footer but there was no way that was staying smaller than that. I repotted into 2 gallon pots and expected a stretch.
Most of my growing before last year was all female, so I got good with scrog and manifold techniques. With the added stress of males I couldn’t manifold like I wanted.
Cropping is okay for me. I need personal consumption only and plan on having enough.
Thanks for the kind words. And maybe if you don’t have any some seeds might make there way to your house…
Update on Jamaican lamb bread: they are approaching week six of flower, and the boys are partying hard.
The plants are just starting to bud up a little.

The boys are producing some powder now. Only a few more days left in pollination area.
Also reminded me of the 80’s.
You got big ones and you got small ones in your grow! The big ones are looking great ![]()
Today I culled the males after collecting pollen for freezer. I also gave a couple females to another growmie. So I’m left with two virgins and a Prego.
They are six weeks into flower.
