I usually do an organic soil with weekly amendments from the time they’re knee high(that’s when I assume the nutrition in the dirt is used up), my question is how often do I feed liquid nutrition. Still once a week? Or more often?
I would feed them nutrients every time you water.
Synthetic liquid ferts usually come with very specific instructions for dosing. They seem to mostly all be overkill. With bottled ferts i use the exact ratios listed on the bottle and cut the dosage in half to start and ramp up.
I use soilless mediums and General Hydroponics nutrients which I am sure is synthetic. I usually stick around to half of what the bottles say. That was the same when I was using Fox Farm soils and their nurtient lines as well.
Your plants will ultimately let you know if its too much or too little.
Every company is different. I run Athena pro line and feed daily in coco.
Now if you’re going to run soil still and feed you’d typically reduce EC as well as feed frequency.
Personally I’ve always followed bottle directions when first starting with a new nutrient line and then tweak as you see fit.
Good luck!
Ah, just go back to organics, so much simpler… You didn’t mention what media you dousing?
soil, but someone gave me nutrients, and I want to see the difference
